Story Behind The Song
My mother died when I was very young (4+). No one told me what happened when she died, at least I don't remember anything about that time or about her. It wasn't until 25 years later that my step mother, Bernadine told me what happened.

Lyrics
MOTHER'S LOVE
(In Memory of Grace Olson Tutaj)
Mother's Love dries a tear
Mother's Love mends a heart
Mother's Love quiets the fears hidden deep in your soul
With a love so strong she never lets go
I can see her smile in her grandson's smile
As he's running up to me, sayin'
"Daddy, will you play my favorite game with me?"
I can hear her voice in her grandson's voice
As he sings along with me
"Daddy, will you play my song on your guitar for me?"
Mother's Love dries a tear
Mother's Love mends a heart
Mother's Love quiets the fears hidden deep in your soul
With a love so strong she never lets go
I can feel her touch in her grandson's touch
As he cuddles up to me
"Daddy, will you read my favorite book to me?"
I can feel her love in her grandson's love
As he wraps his arms 'round me
"Daddy, can we pray? The prayer you taught to me."
When they laid her down to sleep
I prayed the Lord her soul to keep
She's been gone ten thousand tears
Her love still comforts me
Mother's Love dries my tears
Mother's Love mends my heart
Mother's Love all these years living deep in my soul
With a love so strong she never let go
Yes, her love's so strong she never let go
