Moving On

Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song in October/November 2008 and I came up with the music while I was playing the piano and looking out of the window, when it was just starting to turn into Autumn. This song is about moving on (as the title suggests!) from someone you like and realising that it's probably best that nothing happened - "But when I see you in the eyes of strangers I seem to question the way things could have been, but it's best left in dreams." This is the second song I recorded a demo of and it's the first song I decided to use harmony on. It also has a very "Pippa Mac" feel to it, with the chord progression in the chorus.
