Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song not long after I did my Grade 8 singing, in late June 2009. This is the shortest and simplest song I've written and it only took 2 days to write and record a demo of it! I wrote it when I was playing the piano and liked the way that the chord sequence sounded. The melody was pretty easy to think of and it was just the lyrics that took time to write! Sometimes it's difficult to think of stuff that makes sense that fits the syllables in the melody. I put a flute improvisation in the middle of it and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. This song isn't really about anything, I just wrote the lyrics with the attitude that "if it makes sense and fits the melody, put it in the song!".
