Story Behind The Song
When I wrote the initial synthesizer sound for this song, it reminded me of the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland, and going up over the city lights of London in the little boats. I went with that feeling that I had as a kid going over the lights, and it led to other memories of night, seeing monsters on the road, sneaking out during a full moon, the awe, wonder and the fear that comes with the night.
Song Description
A glimpse into the imagination and the fears of the unknown from the perspective of a little girl looking out her window into the night. She feels a mixture of wanting to go out and discover the night and a fear of what lurks out there.

Lyrics
(verse 1)
Nighttime journey to the moon
On the back
Of a big firefly, take me up above the city
Your hair picks up all the lights
Tropical fish in sky
Take a ride, take a ride, take a ride, take a
(verse 2)
Come on take me for a ride
Open window's the sign
Staining blue
Soaked into my cotton skin
See now, tinkerbell's in bloom
Leave your room
For the sky,
Take a ride, take a ride, take a ride, take a ride
(musical break)
(verse 3)
Nightlite glowing from the wall
Little god
Scare away, keep at bay
Elvish shadows want to fool me
Dimly, dimly lit's the road
Creatures move
Very slow
Coming close, coming close, coming close, coming close
(musical break0
(verse 4)
Join them underneath the fern
Lit right through
From the moon
Looking down, I don't mind if she can see me.
