Story Behind The Song
I wrote the music first and it had this menacing kind of feel to it, a coy sort of manipulative mood to it. I waited until the subject matter came. I walked into a grocery store and realized there was hardly any food in there that wasn't harmful, either loaded with sugar or empty, harmful white-bread type carbohydrates. People aren't offered anything else and end up being addicted to sugar without knowing it, or knowing that there are alternative and better ways to eat.
Song Description
The manipulation of people by grocery stores, in particular. People are only offered certain products en masse and when they become unhealthy and addicted to those things, the companies who make them don't seem to feel repsonisble.

Lyrics
(Verse 1)
I know I got you comin'
Your time bomb blood's been runnin'
I got you in my hands
Pilgrims, devotees
Work shoes, hard grey seas,
You travel to my land. Land.
(chorus)
Got what you need
It's up to speed
Got what you need
Got what you need
It's makin' you bleed
But I got what you need
(verse 2)
Walk in, your stomach's growling
The shelves full of what you're smelling
You eat right out my hands
(musical break)
(verse 3)
And once that bird's in flight
Currents keep it high
I wash my hands
(chorus)
Got what you need
It's up to speed
Got what you need
Got what you need
It's makin' you bleed
But I got what you need
oooh
