One day I was talking to a lady I was seeing, her nearly grown daughter, and young son were standing there. I asked, "Man, what should we get to eat?". The son said, "Pizza!", yeah, surprising huhman? The daughter wanted Brown Stew Chicken, and Rice N Peas. We looked at the lady, waiting for her answer. Looking off, seemingly into space, she says "Mi awhan sum Mango Cracker and Milk". I said "Mango?" and looked at the son, who said "Crackers", and the daughter chimed in with "And Milk". That's when the HBCU band in me started to crank, and I started a beat, chanting "Mangos, Mangos Crackers and Milk". Stuck with me ever since.
