I WILL SING

Story Behind The Song

How does one respond to being divinely delivered? Saved. Provided a way where there was no way. What does one do? What may one offer in response--SING! The first song sung in the Bible comes from Exodus 15. Following what they sang upon the shores of deliverance and from the worshipful and thankful tones of Psalm 25, this song (I Will Sing) finds it's roots.

Song Description

Corporately, Moses led this band of people into song. The lyrics were written right there! The first song sung corporately in the Bible. Later in the song, Moses' sister Meriam, picked up a tambourine and all of the women followed her in rhythm and dance! (What if that happened in our churches today!) Basically, in a time of deliverance, a worship service broke out! Seeing God for who He is, and praising Him for what He has done. Exodus 15 became the lyric foundation to my song "I Will Sing". I also used Psalm 25, as it is great example of lifting our souls to God. Taken from Exodus 15 • I will sing to the Lord • He is to be exalted (given glory) • He has become my salvation • He is my God • I will praise Him • Majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders • In Your unfailing love, You will lead • In Your strength, You will guide From Psalm 25 • In You, lord my God, I put my trust • Do not let me be put to shame • Show ne Your ways, Lord • Guide me • My hope is in You • Do not remember my rebel ways • He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way • Guard my life • According to Your love remember me

You show Your ways and you guide my feet
Your awesome love, I will sing
