Story Behind The Song
There isn't really a story. I wrote the song during a three month blitz of writing all the songs for my, as yet, unrecorded album. This track is a studio demo and as you can hear, is largely improvised and then multi-tracked keyboards, with a single phrase drum beat. It was written with the music of the Middle East very much in mind and although was created for an album about space by a British writer, it can easily have other derivations.
Song Description
This is about a guy who as a child, was different and a little wild, as was his music. Then he became a man and could travel through space, etc, and be free. He finds his own space, where he can relax and he finds that 'It's Getting Easier'.

Lyrics
It's Getting Easier
Going back to when I was I child
I was mostly undefended
and the people I depended on,
were mostly not like me
Life was never easy - I was wild
I was underestimated
and the music I created,
it was mostly wild like me
Now that I have just become a man,
through the universe unshrinking
and through distances unthinking,
I can travel and be free
If I am a stranger in strange lands,
there is welcome undemanding
and the space I am becalmed in,
lets me rest and lets me be
It's getting easier, easier Â- repeat
