Story Behind The Song
I think the lyrics pretty much tell the story......
Song Description
the first recording from Steph Carter Gillett was certainly inspired by the 21st century communication modus operandi - texting. The text breakup ranks up with the seeing the Facebook status change to find out you're not 'the one'. Although in Steph's case it turns out to be quite a positive once the shock wore off.

Lyrics
I sit up in my bed, give a blank stare at my phone
Reading what you said, that I'm not alone
Did you really just text me? That we're breaking up
I guess I'm starting to see, that you ain't man enough
You claimed part of it was, cuz I never trusted you,
But there was no reassurance, you never gave me a reason to
Chorus: Why didn't you, why didn't you let me know
That you were starting to, starting to let go
I really had no clue, about what was going on,
Instead of kissing me you could have used your lips to tell me what was going wrong
I'm starting to realize, that its true,
That its finally over, and I'm starting life without you
I hope you figure out, and and that you see
That you were wrong, and you're gonna miss me
You said I got annoying cuz I talked to you,
But please tell me what are girlfriends supposed to do
Chorus: Why didn't you, why didn't you let me know
That you were starting to, starting to let go
I really had no clue, about what was going on,
Instead of kissing me you could have used your lips to tell me what was going wrong
If you're gonna be this way, then I guess this is it
Oh and by the way, your friends think you're an idiot
Last chorus: I'm so glad you didn't, didn't let me know
Cuz now I can see, its time to let go,
I really had no clue, how good life is without you (yeaaah)
I'm gonna find a guy, out there somewhere,
Who will treat me right, and actually cares
