Story Behind The Song
Not much of a story. I think about God and life, a great deal. I was just sitting around one day, looking at the pathetic state of this place and wondered what God would say to us, if he wrote us a letter; looked down and saw what we had become; something apart from what we were supposed to be. What would he think of the what we'd done with the gifts that he'd given us? ...our lives, our souls...his creation called earth and all that's on it. How disappointed he must be.

Lyrics
Letter to You
You went through the ice
And you were gone
Your beautiful life
But you were never that strong
Like some Homeric poem
You stood it alone
Numb to the fact
You took it all as a personal attack
I lifted you up
And you were nothing more then offended
Your beautiful life
Made it something unintended
You never understood
It was for your own good
You were blind to what it was
That I'd done it all for you
But maybe in a million years
When the dust has settled
And there's no one left to cheer
We'll look back on this experience
Wax philosophical and we'll speak
Only in present tense
