Lyrics

My Heart

I don't know what to tell you my heart
I know this time you've been torn apart
And I'm not sure
That your ever gonna be the same

I know we've been down this road before
I know I convinced you to open the door
I should have known where we'd end up
And I'm completely to blame

But I have known the hunger and felt the need
That both of us have been dying to feed
And I could not resist the chance for simply hoping again
But with the damage done now it's hard to tell
If this is the end, the final farewell
I'm not sure you can let yourself open again

I don't know why our dreams can't come true
Why fate's so unkind to me and you
Why we always end up here despite our best intentions

The will to love runs so deep in you
Why we suffer so, well I haven't a clue
Surely one way love must be God's cruelest invention

And I am sorry that I opened you up to the need
That both of us........

Nice song. I could easily see it in a scene in a movie. I liked the vocal overtones of background vocals.

Fits in the Eagles type market... vocals sound a little close to Don Henley phrasing...it has a familiar sound to it

This is a good song and it pleases the ears. The harmony is good and it resembles classic rock like Wild Horses Rolling Stones. The chorus is also nice.

Very pretty and soulful piece with nice instrumentation and arrangement. Reminiscent of some Don Henley solo tunes.

Clean and slick sounding track.
