Story Behind The Song
I had a strong urge to write a new song but no idea...the Muse was prodding me to get creative...so I took the dictionary and started running through it, looking for an idea. When I came to "Castaway," I knew I had found the premise of my song. Little did I know that it would take me several years to come up with the correct first and a third verses.
Song Description
Visual imagery of what it's like to be left by the one person you'll love all your life...but you never give up hope that you'll get back together with that person again.

Lyrics
Castaway by Glenn Warren
Miserable mornin'...Cloudy and cold...
All I got yesterday...Is one more day old;
I'm hopin to find...Some good changes today...
I'm just your ...Castaway.
Saw an old rowboat...By the river at dawn;
One oar was broken...The other one gone;
Broken and useless...You left me this way...
I'm just your...Castaway.
Bridge: I talk to your picture; Folks stop and stare;
If they think I'm crazy...I really don't care;
One day, I'll hold you... In my arms again..
I'll keep searchin',...And hopin'...And hopin'...til then...
I live like hobo...Look like a bum...
Feel like the head of a busted old drum...
That's been badly beaten...in a Fool's Day parade...
I'm just your...Castaway.
