Story Behind The Song
This song is one of those things that come about where you do one of those position checks in life. A big life change had just happened for me that had the potential to be devastating and could have really changed the direction my life. I chose to stay the path because that which I would have had to give up would have cost more than the darkness of the path had I chosen to go the other way. I have had to make many such decisions since I wrote this song and this song has become an anchor for me in those times.

Lyrics
VERSE ONE
Seen lots of things go round and round.
Had a lot of ups and had a lot of downs.
I've had it good and I've had it bad.
I've been happy, and I've been sad.
CHORUS
But I'm not complaining.
My life's been amazing.
I've been both the good side and the bad side of man.
My life's been funny, been rainy and sunny, but
I just keep doing the best that I can.
VERSE TWO
I served Uncle Sam and I wore the green.
Jumped out of airplanes and thought I was mean.
Spent a tour in Europe where they hated me.
I finally got home and I thought I was free.
CHORUS
VERSE THREE
Lived out West, the North and the South.
Seen the oceans meet the clouds.
Trash on the roads, new houses unfold.
The American Dream, so I've been told.
CHORUS
VERSE FOUR
House I now live in is big and its old.
Stays cool in the summer and warm when its cold.
Got a woman who loves me, two boys I adore.
If I had the chance, I'd change it no more.
CHORUS
So I'm not complaining.
My life's been amazing.
Been both the good side and bad side of man.
Don't make much money.
Think life can be funny.
I really like who that I am.
I really like who that I am
I really like who that am.
