Story Behind The Song
Basically I came up with the idea for the song after watching a full season of Moonshiners on Netflix in a period of a few days. My grandpa is innocent of everything charged in this song... although I did have a Great grandfather who dabbled in homegrown spirits.
Song Description

Lyrics
Deep inside the woods there is a cave
With a big ole rock to keep the critters out
Each night grandpa rolled that stone away
Crawled inside to where his bootleg stash was housed
And from sundown to sunup
He'd fill big gallon jugs
With the purest liquor I had ever seen
Folks would come from miles around
And lay their money down
Just to get their hands on grandpa's recipe
Grandpa was a spiritual man
knew that Jesus always had his back
After all, he turned the water into wine
And grandpa turned the water into shine
More than once he bumped heads with the law
But they never could find proof of what he had
All that seed was meant to feed the hogs
And granny'd send the sheriff home with fresh baked bread
And as the squad car left the drive
Grandpa waved and granny'd smile
And they'd get back to the business they were in
Drove the pickup past the mill
And the creek that fed the still
Hauled in sugar, corn and yeast to start again
Repeat chorus twice
