Story Behind The Song
A fairly simple piece musically, this took a while to develop and become the song it is now. The music and the title were conceived circa 1999/2000 but the rest of the lyrics took time to form. The initial feeling was of a woman almost stalking this man, and how both their lives could be different if she could move on.
Later, as it developed it took on the theme of death, and of someone trying to pick up the pieces after losing a loved one.

Lyrics
Close the door pull the blinds time's pushing through
Close your eyes to the lies and let them go
Hide away in the night stranded alone
Feel the pressure tension lose control
But she's still there
She's watching everywhere
Such a different life could be yours if you want to be
And the days slowly drop like living proof
Precious lines we all follow for sleeping news
Waking up feeds the same persistent thoughts
Here she comes like a river twists and turns
