Story Behind The Song
This is the intro (track 1) on Volume 1 of our 3 Volume concept album "Grey Expectations." The album will be released at the end of April. The concept album progresses chronologically and this song is a lullaby from a cynical parent to their newborn child. The parent wants the best for their child, insisting that they have a bright future, but also contains a bit of sadness as the parent warns their child not to grow up and be like them.

Lyrics
Hey... little baby,
In your... mother's arms
Will you grow up, to be the good son...
Wearing your father's charm
Hey... little baby
Just a few days old
You better listen to that good book
And just... do... what... you're... told
Hey... little baby
Come take my hand
One day you'll be a singer
In a rock and roll band
Hey... little baby
You're so happy and free
I wanna be just like you
But don't grow up to be like me
