Song Description

This musical expression is a tribute to the world's largest democratic country, India. It is an ancient land rich in its cultural diversity and mysterious complexities. India invokes a myriad of colors, languages and religions. The birth of the nonviolent movement began in India under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi when the country was under British colonial rule. After tolerating British colonialism for over 200 years, on August 15th 1947, emblazoned with the symbol of the Wheel of Righteousness in its center, the saffron white and green was hoisted and unfurled to a liberated and independent India.
