Log OFF! words and music by Mark S. Ludes (MSL) 3/25/05
(fast track-island version)
V.1
Don't spend much time in the school yard, don't get no exercise.
Don't play Sports like I used to, kind of took me by surprise.
You get all caught up on the Net, searchin' for this and that.
Minutes turn into hours, just what you staring at.
Chorus:
Well now you're checkin' out my website, and you say it just ain't right,
You tellin' me that it's not 'bad' enough.
You're knockin' all my graphics and tearing down my site,
Hey!! - if you don't like it - Log Off!!

V.2
You're playin' games, buyin' music and sellin' on Ebay
You search on Google, Amazon and Yahoo every day.
Buying music for your Ipod, sending emails to your friends.
You've already forgot what it's like to phone a friend.
Chorus:
So when you're checkin' out my website, and you say it just ain't right,
Tellin' me that it's not 'bad' enough.
You're knockin' all my ideas, and raggin' on my site,
Hey!! - if you don't like it - Log Off!!
(1x Lead solo)
V.3
Now you've got yourself a web-site, 'cos it seemed the thing to do.
Don't know why you really need one but, hey now, it's cool.
You can find some information on any subject that pops up.
But the tough part is to separate the facts from what's made up.

V.4
Your room's become a dungeon that keeps you trapped inside.
Your computer is your link to the world.
Meeting people, typing messages, to who you now call 'friends',
Have to wonder about this hi-tech world, Where does it end?

Repeat Chorus:
So when you're checkin' out my website, and you say it just ain't right,
tellin' me that it's not 'bad' enough.
You're knockin' all my ideas and raggin' on my site,
Hey!! if you don't like it - Log Off!

is this already on the radio lol!!! sounds that good to me

Energetic drive. Nice little guitar solo. The vocalist is not taking big turns technically but is crisp and clear enough to deliver the slightly ironic and humorous lyrics.

Would I be unfair to draw parallels to "They Might Be Giants"? Well it's meant as a compliment as I this track comes as a welcome and refreshingly different track from what is so dominant in this market.
The strength of the track for me is the subject matter. Great lyrics and delivered with just enough venom to work. I enjoyed the arrangement and the clear thinking about the way the song progressed; including the key change. Overall 'feel' of the track worked well for the genre and supported the lyrical focus.
Whether the aim here is commercial I don't know, but under particular circumstances I could hear this in an advertisement or commercial for TV. Nice work.

Catchy and Great for TECHY Ads
