Layin' in the Sun - words and music by Mark S. Ludes (MSL) ©

V-1
Beautiful women layin in the sand. Turning golden brown.
Some in the water, and some on the beach, beauty all around.

V-2
Thank God my woman didn't go that day, she'd burn me at the stake.
Catch me flirtin', all goo-goo-eyed. That's more than she would take!
Just talkin' and galkin', checkin' 'em out. Tryin' to make some time.
My woman finds out, she'd take me down. Kick my 'ol behind!

*** Chorus***
Now tell me what's so wrong?
In doin' what I do.
Just havin' me some fun,
Layin' in the sun.

V-3
Make no bones about it. It's the sun, the sea, the babes!
We all come here, keep comin' back. Keep comin' like those waves!
Next time I'm out, down on the beach, just havin' me some fun,
I'll keep my distance, within her reach. Layin' in the sun!

*** Fade to end ***

You have good vocal harmonies. Nice guitar tone as well as drums. I enjoy the wide mix and the use of reverb. Definitely an original sound.

I like the main guitar riff hook.

Good work on this! Great energy from the start! Interesting harmonies.

- Guitar lines were really cool and creative. Especially that lead guitar in the bridge there.
- Good harmonies
- Love how those cool chords add to the spacy/trippy sound.
- That section where its just bass, drums, and lead guitar is awesome. And then when the lead guitar drops out and the vocals come in, it adds to the dynamic arrangement which is awesome.

Sounds a little too compressed for my taste, which makes it sound a little muddy to my ears. I really like the guitar sounds, riffs, and interplay. A nice mixture of synth sounds as well.

I enjoyed listening to this tune. Interesting but simple harmony, very masculine riff and great catchy groove. Particularly liked confident but down to earth vocals. Interesting arrangement helped to spark my attention. Did not like the end of the tune, it fades out abruptly. Overall, well produced rock song.
