Story Behind The Song
Reading some classics I never got around to. Read "Return of the Native" by Thomas Hardy and became taken with the extreme emotion of the characters. Wanted to attempt writing a country song even though country is somewhat out of my wheelhouse.

Lyrics
Verse1:
Life can feel bland waiting for love,
Send me a great love while I yet live.
Life would be grand with love and a hug,
Send me a great love, send her from somewhere.
My world felt flat waiting for love,
Send me a great love while I yet live.
My life could be fat with love and a hug,
Send me a great love, send her from somewhere.
Chorus1:
I've waited expectant,
suspending all disbelief.
I've kicked my bad habits,
feeling a great relief.
Made room in my heart,
and I'm ready to go steady on.
With you as my great love,
I'll be your champion.
Verse2:
I hoped for a great love exclusively mine,
Time waits on no woman, you came just in time.
You came with a great love, and you're fine as wine.
Heaven sent me a great love, sent you from somewhere.
Girl, when we met you got into my head.
Quit searching for love and I found it instead.
I followed my heart and you're where it led.
Heaven sent me a great love, sent you from somewhere.
Chorus2:
You're towering, beautiful, intelligent, faithful and real.
You're generous, truthful, commanding and stronger than steel.
With you as my great love,
I'm ready to go steady on.
You came out of nowhere
and made me your champion.
Outtro:
Heaven sent me a great love.
A great love.
A great love.
A great love.
