MCaroll, Hi, I see you reviewed my song "I'm On Fire" it is a cover song of Bruce Springsteen "Born in the U.S.A. album if you ever saw his video it is about a car mechanic and a woman who brings her car say, once a week to be fixed and he has a thing for her and maybe her for him...maybe she is married to a sugar daddy... reference to daddy... not a child, so I had my producer take the lead vocal and I echo in the back ground... it is all tongue in cheek... I never thought of the lyrics being interpreted like that... I figured everyone must have seen the video...well any way thanks for taking the time to listen and review my song... always in music Delta
Apologies for not having heard the song before. Apologies for not understanding. Guess I'm no good at reviewing. Sorry.
Not so, you wrote what you heard and that is not a bad thing... my first I listened to a Celtic song and it was 20 minutes long and I was at a lose.. I do remember I told her it was way too long.. so just do another get use to doing it and just be as honest as you can..
you might like to see the video it is interesting... I am a friend in music 🎶🎶
Hi There , thanks for reviewing Weren't You The One . I did consider writing a musical around it , maybe I'll get round to it one day !
If you decide to do so, once you have the story, I would like the opportunity to write a song or two for you to include (or not). Keep me in mind.
I certainly will , thank you !
Musical greetings and best success
Thank you for your kindness. This is the type of encouragement that keeps me working to pay for production. Keeps me working to ask singers I meet to work with me. It keeps me believing the songs are good enough to move from the paper.
Thank you for taking the time to review "Christmas Card". It is evident you gave it a thorough listen and I truly appreciate that. (I'm the songwriter. The artist (Cathey Sparks) with the wonderful voice has a phrasing that differed slightly from what I wanted. The producer (Joe Milton, here in Texas but out of your state of California incidentally) played the keyboard and guitar and he used my horn MIDI files (produced by FINALE) in his system. (So, even though I play piano, none of the physical keyboard playing is me.) But THANK YOU, I DID write the music and lyrics.
Hi Carol, You're welcome, when I do reviews I like to break it down and let the artist know of the details I hear or the suggestions I give. I think I can hear some of the vocal phrasing you're talking about... very minor detail in my eyes but to the song writer I can see how it could be... a big deal. Safe to say you were not present for the vocal recording? Nevertheless I was impressed with the details in the programming, it was very creative. Nice song, congrats!!!
Thank you for reviewing our song Life After Death. I'll look into bringing the vocals up. Just fyi the chorus is this:
As the resistance of our ways makes us even stronger
The epitome of life is that we all end up in the dirt
We were only left to wait and ponder
Life After death, does it hurt?
Raw Turbulence is the perfect name. Exciting. Brings you alive. Gets inside your head and heart and makes you a part of it.
Wow Thank you! blessings
Thank you for the review of new creation. Mrs Kate
thank you for the stars on Lonely. Much appreciated.
Welcome to Broadjam MCarollShaw! Catnip
Thank you for the kind and generous words in your review of "Christmas Card."
Youre very welcome. A good Christmas song is hard to do and you did it so well!
Lovely voice. Excellent song. I heard this while reviewing songs on the monthly contest and just had find it. Very, Very nice.
Thanks for your review. Glad you like it!
Thank you very much for your encouraging ratings. After my collection of children's songs
(several short pieces of which are included in "Phonics Trailer") was rejected a few times, my enthusiasm soon faded. The fact that you even listened is encouraging. Your rating it highly is icing on the cake. Thanks again.
When I play your song, "The End", just before mine "My Merry Rocketship", there is a kind of continuity. They would go well together, I think (If I change keys ). Your song, "The End", is thought provoking. It leaves you wanting more - so it is just the right length, just enough, just great.
Hi MCarollShaw! Thanks for the review of "Before the world stops Spinning". All The Best! Catnip
Hi There. Thanks for your review of my cover song "Over the Rainbow". I understand that it is difficult to review such a song , but, I do appreciate the positive comments about my singing voice. thanks again!
Thankyou for your review of It'll Never End. It's about one lover (the singer) was unfaithful and she's promising not to again (the promise will never end) display is a sexual inuendo. I appreciate your comments. Toni
Thank you very much for the kind comments. Your words help me believe I can actually DO this songwriting thing and that I'm not wasting time just TRYING to do it. Lots of love back atcha. ---M. Caroll
Thank you David for taking your time to listen to "Man In The Moon." It is obvious that you did listen carefully and I'm glad you liked it and didn't find it hard to comment upon.
This song "Can't Wait for Christmas" should be in regular rotation on radio for the upcoming holiday season. I hope this will happen for you.
Thank you so much! I am hoping the same. I have been active with pitching it! Keeping fingers crossed! :)
Thank you for the review of 'Minimal'. Sorry you didn't like the song. David.
I do not think the song is bad. I was simply explaining why I did not rate the song as excellent. If I'm wrong about what I said, please accept my apology. This rating of other people's work on this platform is new to me. I guess once people start telling me what they think of my songs, I'll get comments I can't agree with also.
Thank you for your reply, I appreciate that.
Thank you for adding 'Sunburst' to your playlist. Much appreciated. David
Thanks for your review of Keeping The Lights On For You. Your feedback is very helpful, as this song was a collaborative effort (I did the music, and the vocal was sung by Kris Lee).
Thanks for the review of The Things You Have Done. I appreciate your time and effort. Toni
Like the song overall but needs work. Keep verses the same in rhyme pattern, lyric cadence , and melody. Verse tells the story. V1 and 3 are the same gut V 2 is different. Keep chorus the same every time. So find you number sticker hook, put it in the chorus and keep it the same. Good bridge try putting this line at the end of the bridge "If it's the truth, it won't change." Then replace it in the chorus with your hook "Truth Never Changes" Very nice start, just make a few changes before you go to Joes's with it.
