I have written songs all my life, inspired by events and people. Whenever I am moved, my thoughts seem to come as a song. After many years of singing my songs and playing electronic percussion with a worldbeat style band, I am enjoying creating music that comes from my heart and my imagination with no geographic limitation, letting the music become the landscape, the setting and the mood.

My musical styles range from singer/songwriter to dubstep and electronica.

Hey, this music makes me happy!!! I do audio mastering in Wisconsin and I was listening to some of your tracks. If you need audio mastering I can do a free sample. If you like what you hear, I'm cheap and easy to work with. I've been doing it for a while and I'm getting back into the game again. Tory - www.worldaudiomastering.net - 608-280-1722

Wow!! I just received 4 songs that I had sent out for mastering in the last few days and was listening back and forth, mastered --unmastered and was very impressed with the difference.

I was in the process of e-mailing the engineer that it sounded like my songs had been rescued from underneath the stairwell, and had just decided that I need to get every song mastered before uploading it, when I noticed your comment.

I went to your site and played the mastered-unmastered versions and was completely blown away!! I had to play them several times to recognize that it was the same track. The difference and improvement is amazing! Make it Stop, If You Stay, and Lost Your Mind are like whole new songs, and singers, professional, polished and radio ready.

Thanks for making the Comment and Connection!

You should upload a mix on my website. I'd be happy to do a free sample. It's pretty easy to an upload, but if you have problems let me know.

Just wanted to stop in personally thank you for your review of Curse of the Gypsy... your very thorough and extremely well thought-out review means a lot! I passed it on to the rest of the "Rage" staff as you can see :)

Oh, really like "I send you love". Very original sounding with a great story... I wouldn't be surprised to hear this in a movie some day. Recording sounds great! Very professional... Keep up the good work!

Thanks for listening to "I Send You Love". I have been struggling with recording quality and musicianship and was a little intimidated after hearing the quality of the tracks I listened to here on Broadjam.

What is the "Rage" staff? I just recently bought a little, second hand, keyboard called a Micron and have been having a blast playing around with it and making all these giant dubsteppy sounds. I plan on doing a lot more with it but haven't been able to get the big sound quality and volume level that you in the "Rage" machine have.

I downloaded a few of your songs so that I could use them for quality and volume comparison in itunes before loading any more of my songs here, so you at "Rage" are my latest inspiration...I aspire to your "Rage" ;)

Thanks!

Hey Madeline, no problem... I like to at least listen to a couple of songs when I pop in to a new connection... you listened to mine it's only fair :) I really do like it!

Ha Ha! The Rage staff... several artists working on a collaboration for Protilius's "Rage 2012" album. That guy is a musical wizard... he would be the one to speak to about any questions you have regarding dubstep... and well, pretty much everything else! The big sound quality you hear is what becomes of a track once a professional mastering engineer gets a hold of it! Takes years of learning and all the right equipment... which I don't have. As far as volume goes, I would pop in your favorite CD that sounds similar to what you're doing and get close to that... nothing beats a stellar mix though, something I'm still learning myself. You and I are in the same boat when it comes to that stuff!

I will definitely pass on your kind works to the rest of the crew... they're gonna love that you downloaded some of the songs!!!

Keep in touch,

Austin

Thanks for your reply. I was just coming to the conclusion that I need to have my new tracks mastered before submitting them. I tried to use compression to get the volume up and ended up with a big, nasty, pumping, mess. I will ask protillus for some recommendations.

I am new to Broadjam, I just signed up for a month of membership, a week ago. So far I am really impressed by the generosity of the people, like you, that are really 'hear' for each other!

I am sure that I will sign up for the year. Thanks for making the connection:)

Best Regards,
Madeline

Likewise, glad I made your connection list. :) On the mastering... most of my original mixes are self-mastered with my own plugins (Juggernaut, Apocalypse, Break the Silence, etc.) Once I get enough tracks together for an album or an EP, then I'll plan on making the jump to a professional master.

As far as membership... I was contemplating on becoming a primo, but changed my mind. Free customer here, and have many rich friendships because of it through broadjam...

Talk soon,

-Austin

Thank you for the reviews you've left with the "Rage" staff recently. We've all shared our reviews with one another and I must say everyone enjoys your thoughts and feedback greatly.

Thank you for taking the time to notice the little things and offering the feedback you have. Its appreciated, but more than anything, we're just happy to entertain whenever we can. Really pleased you've enjoyed the show thus far. We'll try to keep things on par with the expectation in the meantime surely:)

Thanks again for your reviews. The group really appreciates it.

Hello and thanks for the reply. I have been posting with Austin Tyler about how impressed I am with your music and the quality of the sound. Also after reading everyone's contributions regarding plug-ins and virtual sounds it is so nice to see so many people with helpful suggestions.

I have a few new electronic/dubstep tracks that I would like to post and submit but the sonic quality is just not there and the mix gets destroyed when I try to use compression or normalize to bring up the volume. The tracks are all made with plug-ins that came with Pro-Tools and my little Micron so the recording is clean but needs to be Mastered.

I noticed that you mentioned Steve Turnidge as the one responsible for mastering 'Apocalyptic Customer Service'. I googled him and found that he literally wrote the book on Mastering! Do you know if he is available for Mastering individual tracks for individuals he doesn't know? I have used a few people that I have found online with varying results.

Any referrals for mastering engineers would be greatly appreciated.

Your Fan :)

Steve's Mastering services are actually really affordable. He's giving the band a great deal on mastering the new Rage album. I think he charges $50 for a single track, but will likely give you a better deal for bulk.

Roy Elkins, the founder of Broadjam, actually introduced us when I asked for help making a move to Seattle area a couple of years ago. Steve's name came up as a person to know and we ended up meeting him at a coffee house in Seattle. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a real Zen attitude to things. So naturally, I contacted him for professional consultation on our current work, and he's gone far to put my own production methods into alignment with our team's goals.

I'll ask him for the best way to be contacted being we always just skype and get back to you on that if you'd like.

I just had Steve master 2 of the songs I had previously posted and they sound way better. I am going to send him several more songs as soon as I can improve my mixes, as I can tell all my mistakes are going to be much clearer after he is done with the tracks!
Thanks for introducing me!

Madeline
