I'm an athlete, artist, writer, musician, nutritionist, avid reader, history buff, runner, weight lifter, and personal trainer, too. Have traveled extensively, studied richly and read over 600 books on various topics such as spirituality, philosophy, astrology, numerology, astronomy, archaeology, the Great Pyramids, and I love combining all of this with the study of metaphysics, athletics and music.

BIO

Jon Magnys Bond

Powerful...Classical...Crossover...Sincere...Sensual...Real...Passionate, and the fire sign of Leo!

Jon Bond's regeneration of older music and earlier styles is defined by the dynamic sounds and NEW WORLD melodies of the future, manifested in the present.

A native of California, Jon Bond's early years were shaped by his English mother (Caucasian) and American father (African American) in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Washington, London and Brighton Beach, England.

Jon was heralded as a child prodigy when at the age of four, he began playing Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" on the piano by ear. As he reached the fifth grade, Jon was regularly performing in recitals and starring in school plays as well as writing lengthy reports on Rachmaninoff, Bach, Mozart, Chopin, and such rock classics as Freddie Mercury and Queen, and his favorites, Elton John and Beethoven. He very much identified with the complex and fiery nature of all these great composers/performers/musicians.

Influenced at an early age by such artists as Elton John, Queen, ABBA, The Carpenters, George Michael, Aretha Franklin, CHIC, The Beatles, Johnny Mathis, Eric Clapton, The Bee Gees, Whitney Houston, Culture Club, etc., this accomplished composer, arranger, singer, dancer, songwriter, poet and pianist builds his music on a full complement of orchestral support with a heavy leaning on explosive, Elton-like piano pounding chords, combined with highly emotive and powerful string arrangements, and energy-belting lead and back-up vocal prowess.

In much of Jon's music, the strings represent both agony (the past) and salvation (the future), with the ability to ultimately mend and heal the human spirit. But above all, the piano is Jon's major instrument upon which he composes every part and variation before transferring the music to respective instruments. His music is larger-than-life, electrifying and fueled by an explosive vocal power conveying strong emotion! Jon always says that his music is perfect movie-score material because when you listen to it, it explains quite amply the "human condition" and human emotion. Not only does his music transport the soul but also his lyrics transform the mind with conviction and truth.

Jon Bond entertains his audiences with quality musicianship shaped by an athletic and sensual stage presence, a commanding knowledge of music and an unforgettable passion that describes his feelings and concerns about the unpredictable and exciting New Millennium! Music is a powerful, universal force (a point that Jon often makes) and Jon Bond has a masterful grip on its past while simultaneously reaching out to shape the future with a new sound that guarantees to please both young and old throughout the world.

"You've got to have passion, because if you don't mean it, then it doesn't mean anything!" - Jon Bond

"If we are to truly progress into the 21st century, then we must remember where we came from...we must remember our past, because if we forget it, then we have nothing to offer the future." - Jon Bond

I like the beat you've added to this song. It's the Otis Redding with a little more funk.

Jon, I agree with Dennis. Touching song. It's not true that nobody cares. I hope you never feel that way again.
