Bio
Formed in Hollywood, California, in February of 2006, Jameson is a heavy thrash/metalcore band whose first CD, "Down For The Count," is being hailed by fans as "jaw-dropping!"
Jameson has five members (ages 21-25) armed with the attitude of their heavy metal predecessors. Their bone-crushing groove is the product of 5 well-educated masters who combine the classic elements of thrash with the modern metalcore underground to create a universal appeal to fans of heavy music worldwide.
The genesis of Jameson began when lifelong friends Dan Ranada (guitar) and Jason Brennan (bass) attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. They began jamming and developed the riffs that would become "Keep the Change," Jameson's first EP.
Fortuitously, Matt Bomb, a singer from the New Jersey metal scene exploded on the L.A. landscape and the concussion caught the duo's attention. Matt's lyrics and vocals kicked it up a notch. Matt introduced the band to his roommate and M.I. graduate, Chad Keith. Chad's solid, high-speed, brutal drumming technique gave Jameson the groove that took them to the next level.
In the Spring of 2007, M.I. graduate Ben Robbins' guitar stylings fused with Jameson. With a solid line-up in place, they hit the practice studio and wrote the songs which became their first CD, "Down For The Count".
"We have utilized a guitar-driven writing style right up front," said Dan. Once a good riff is in place, all of the members write their parts for the band. "It's a style that works for us. We produce metal that's abrasive and fast, with a groove that can grab hold of any fan, anytime, anywhere."
Now, this quintet of trained musicians brings a high level of professionalism, consistency and energy to their live shows at clubs like the legendary Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Hollywood, the Key Club, The Roxy, and the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles. Jameson won Ernie Ball's Battle of the Bands to rock The Van's Warped Tour at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles in 2007!
Jameson gives their audience a raucous, once-in-a-lifetime experience each and every time they perform. With their new CD to fuel their fan base, and their sights set on a relentless touring schedule and unforgettable live shows, Jameson is bringing their brand of epic, unrelenting heavy metal to the world music scene.
