There is an opportunity for Celtic music on Taxi right now. Expires Dec. 20
Dreamin' my Dreams has been picked up for the Nancy Drew series for the next season, episode 24. Many thanks to Eddie Caldwell CEO Music Of The Sea Inc.
Nice one.
Love your music.
Thank you!
Monster is awesome! Great vocal. Very cool chromatic falls.
Mike, I just happened across your request for collaboration and am surprised that you haven't made any money from BroadJam. I too, have had the same experience of having been selected multiple times, without compensation. Have a look at our list of over 120 original compositions and let's exchange thoughts.
Yes.
Thank you for your excellent review of our song "Essence of Now - Worthington Vocal". This song has generated much interest.
Great guitar licks on Sugar Mama, and BTW, thanks for the fine review on our song Essence of Now
it was my pleasure...btw i didn't give it to get it....I am never worried about any critique...in fact...I am happy to receive any comment given in the spirit of community...thanks again
Ditto
I went to school about 1/2 hour from Ann Arbour in 1968..used to go to the Grande Ballroom alot...some some killer psychedelic bands there(i was at Univeraity at the time being a political activist and musician...crappy student).met my wife at school..she was from 7Mile & Evergreen area of Detroit...saw Moby Grape in Toronto in '67...LOL...small world
i have to say that i have only listened and reviewed 70 tunes...i am a serious musician and have also been a producer in Toronto, though I live in BC now...i don't bandy about 5's just for the sake of getting value out of my broadjam time...yours is, by far...the finest quality song I have heard here...it was a great delight to hear it...my ears are still humming!!!
Thanks for the kind words - The Woodmen
Thanks for your kind and helpful review of Answer Man. It's much appreciated.......MGB
I gave your "About Time" excellent reviews. Great chops
Thanks for your helpful input
Hello. I have been advised to try getting our songs remixed by a third party, and preferably someone under 30 years of age. However, the important thing being, someone who has had success with today's music. Are you that someone?
What is your skill?
is there a limit to the number of videos we can upload?
We really appreciate your talent. We are mostly guitar oriented. Our lead guitar is a born perfect pitch. Check us out.
Love this, thumbs up on this song.
Thanks, and can you tell me when the music festival will be held?
We know how you feel. We recorded for Capitol in 1969, but did not go very far, due to poor management.
It was all a long time ago - but I'm too stupid to give up.
Persistent, you mean. Same here. I listened to your music, and was very impressed.
Thanks. Persistent is a better word. Alan
NICE ELVIS RECORDINGS...DID YOU EVER DO AN ALL-ELVIS SHOW?...YOU COULD PULL IT OFF IF YOU WANTED TO...GEORGE
Roy does an Elvis show on a regular basis, and gets paid very well for it. Check out our submissions in the 6-pack under "Cover Up". Thanks for the comment.
GLAD TO HEAR IT...
Some really great music here.
Just to let you know, we have four new versions of Small Town Affair. Replacing the banjo break with guitar, and adding male vocal parts.
Lisa, I really appreciate your comments regarding the song "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." It's rewarding when someone has a positive experience listening to your work. Blessings to you and your endeavors! - Kevin
Lisa, thanks for your kind review of my song "She Makes Me Happy". We recorded it in 1969 for Capitol records, but it never went anywhere due to poor management.
Thanks for your kind and complete review. She Makes Me Happy was recorded back in 1969 by Capitol records. As you advised, I did have the song re-recorded by my guitarist several months back. Have a listen. I live just up the road from you, and I have a born perfect pitch guitarist doing all of our recording now. He was the lead guitar in my group back in Detroit. Here is a link to his recording.http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=8988&mediaID=571964 1 I would be interested in collaboration.
Awesome! Keep me posted!
just reviewed changing over. nice message. laughing at the pics from 69 with the robe. ha ha, those were the days!! cheers!! catnip pat
Please go here and vote for our song "Cold Rain and Snow", http://www.michiganrockandrolllegends.com/vote-songs 1
Thanks so much for the great review of When Did You Stop Loving Me! I appreciate it and look forward to listening to your music soon!
Thanks for your kind review of our song "Drive It". We like your voce, and would welcome your treatment of a couple of our songs. Can we talk?
Nigel, thanks for your very fair review of the instrumental version of She Makes Me Happy. I must say you have a very good ear, as I never noticed that mistake at 44 seconds. My guitar player, who is a born perfect pitch, rarely makes mistakes, but I think he may be getting careless in his old age. If you ever need some guitar work, let us know. BTW, my father was also a sax player.
No you misunderstand me! What I mean is that the nice passing chords which are played over the C# should then be repeated a few seconds later over the B! I just think it would add something.
Ok, thanks. I've passed your comment along to my guitar player. He is the real musician, and will do doubt understand your suggestion.
Thank you for the review of 'Hunting' (instrumental) Regards. David
Hi there. Happy that you like my review. You have a great voice, and I am looking for a collaborator to re-record a few of our songs. I wold be greatly pleased if you were interested. Three songs in particular are "The Essence of Now", "Pull Me" and "Small Town Affair" I can also pay if our collaboration turns out lop sided.
Hi there. I took a listen because your song title is very similar to one of ours (One Word Friend), and was very impressed. I am looking for a collaborator to re-record a few of our songs. I wold be greatly pleased if you were interested. Three songs in particular are "The Essence of Now", "Pull Me" and "Small Town Affair" I can also pay if our collaboration turns out lop sided.
Thanks for your kind review of Transcendence. Best to you. Marilyn Hall
Your quite welcome. If you are interested in collaboration, let me know. My lead guitar is a born perfect pitch, and can do anything on any instrument. Most of our music is open to the public, so if you run across something you think you could help us with, by all means let me know. I do have one song in particular that has been getting attention, but the recording is from a cassette tape that is 40 years old. It's called "The Essence of Now". We have 3 versions, but they all fall short in some way.
Thanks for the review!!
Just heard word man. What an incredibly amazing song! Love it love it love it! Just perfection!
Hi Roy. Just a thought for an idea for next year's 6-pack if possible. Instead of just scoring the top 20 songs in any can on a sliding scale, how about scoring the top 30. You would still only show the top 20 positions, but this would mean someone with songs in the 22nd and 28 th positions, which is still quite impressive, wouldn't necessarily get squeezed out of a top 20 spot by someone with tons of song submissions (none of which may even be close to top 20 but they score a single point per song submission, and so can knock out some worthier songwriting talent). Just an idea. Thoughts?
Doug, Thanks for the feedback. Every year we tweak the 6-Pack and your input is timely. I am not sure what changes will be made, but we will address all of the suggestions that come in. All the best, Roy
Thanks Roy. I really appreciate how you address members' concerns. Part of what makes me proud to share Broadjam with my friends from all over.
Hi Roy, long time since we've corresponded! How's everything? I notice a major increase in broadjam's daily postings of licencing opportunities. Just wondering what's going on "behind the scenes". I guess you've reached out to a bunch of new opportunity providers? Looks like maybe ad agencies and song shoppers? Are you expecting to or have already seen a proportional increase in placements? What can you tell us? Thanks for any info!
Michael, Thanks for this. As you pointed out, we have aggressively reached beyond film and tv into labels and agencies. It's a little too early to tell, but generally our numbers have been consistently around 9-11% for years. While I do expect more licensing and placement deals as the volume increases, I believe the percentage will stay about the same. Label deals are little more difficult, but we feel we have made some strong inroads into the pop & r&b worlds. Agency deals are a less difficult, but there is a lot of good competition here as well. We'll keep trying. Thanks for your observation and all the great dialogue. Best, Roy
Hey ROY--still in a lot of pain--but I managed to get to the library today for a little bit--THANXS FOR EVERYTHING--I might be back in action soon! Been pretty warm here in Florida--Hope all is well with you and your family--cheers--joe
Hey Joe, Thanks for the note and glad you are up and around. All the best to you. Roy
Hi Roy! Just a suggestion... about the page that always pops up after you submit a song... that "What would you like to say to the reviewer" page. It would be nice to see that automated. I save a notepad file with per-song comments I want to enter, always have to browse for that file, open it, select, copy, paste. I really do know how lazy I am, but it's a repetitive task. it would be nice if those per-song comments were extracted and saved/updated when the page is submitted, and then auto re-populated next time the songs gets submitted??? Best wishes for your holidays!!
Hey Tom, Thanks for the suggestion. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do. I'll check with the guys. All the best to you as well. Roy
Hi Roy Many thanks for including my piano pieces in top jazz. Best regards John Wayre
Roy, I have to say congratulations on your success with BroadJam. I just started doing song reviews again after a 7 year hiatus, and am amazed at the vast improvement in quality. Thanks again for BroadJam.
John, Congrats. Good work. Pursuit, Glad to have you back in action. Best of luck, Roy
Thanks for the 5 star rating on When You Were Here Roy! I really appreciate it!
Al, You are welcome! Well deserved.
Very nice production and vocal. Would love to hear your treatment of one of my tunes. "Pull Me", "Metropolitan" or "Essence of Now"
hello there! thanks for listening!
Where is Dave O'brien? Do you claim to be the Wilson Mower Pursuit BEFORE the takeover or after when they became a backing band for Stoney and Meatloaf? Yes I know a few things. Also Was friends with DAVE in the 80's. But he is difficult to find. I have photos of him on my facebook page from a wedding about 1985. He never talked about it, but I've read a lot about the turmoil in that band because of a manager. If I were Dave I'd feel betrayed as well.
Yes, I founded the group with Paul Koschtial and Bob Franco. We then added George Korinek who brought in Dave.
