Dear Paul, Nice Classical Piece, Gave you 5 Stars! We compose Jazz/Pop music, so this is quite different from the music I am familiar with, but I quite enjoy this Music....excellent job Sir!! Look up our Music....Margie & Art Corey@ Broad Jam.com I have been friends with Ronald for Years, we are old drinking buddies......NOT!!! Haaaaaaaaaaaa!!
Hi Ronald! Many, many thanks for your 5 star ratings on my songs, "Ich Für Dich" and "Raindrops". Very much appreciated. Thanks so much for reaching out and getting in touch. Have just listened to your song "Lovers Heart" and I was first taken back by your brilliant vocal-WOW and the song is sooo cool. I see you have had a lot of success and I personally am not surprised by this, really professional. Will listen to more of your songs in the near future. Best, Paul
Hi Paul, My pleasure for the stars.. Well deserved.. I see you're living in Bavaria, which explains your ability to speak German. Have you lived there for a while?
25 years....it's great here. Believe me though, Ronald, it still took many takes of vocals to get the pronunciation right.
Where did you live in Germany?
Hi Paul, I will follow with you and tell my German "Love" story once I have time to do so. A clue would be to say that it is set partially in Koeln as well as Montreal!!!
Thanks Ronald. I actually have distant family out there in Canada. They moved over there after the war after being brought up in London. Their names would have been "Smalley". I have only passed through Köln on a trip with the family to Amsterdam a few years ago. A real carnival town, though! I really appreciate the 5 stars on April Skies as well, by the way and really many thanks for that. After recording it at home countless times, I got the chance last year to record it in London and this is the recording from there. Go steady mate and catch up soon. Alles Gute, Paul
I never really lived in Germany. I met a girl, Claudia , when her classical sax quartet was playing in Montreal. Our love story blossomed into a more 2 year relationship where I would fly to see her in Koeln in the Altstadt where she lived. The rock and roll boisterous nightlife.. On another visit to Germany, we drove to Bavaria where her brother lives in München.. Next on the agenda,Freiburg where her sister lives...and then to Kirchzarten where she was born and where her mom and dad still live... At least 3 flights !!! Then Claudia moved to Montreal where we lived together for about 3 years. Well, the love story has ended and she now lives in Berlin...Well, that's it for now Please, if you get a chance, go back to my songs where I just posted my at least 20 year old song now remixed "Beileid" A weird one!!!
I hope you can understand a bit of my German pronunciation in my vocals...
Hi Ronald! You are absolutely right..... That is a really crazy song there. WOW! It's a real collage of different sounds, instruments, language interwining with German and English in a very, very unique style. Great sound though! Thanks for the story. Mine is sort of the same but with a better outcome. 25 years marriage and 2 daughters. Life is good! Best wishes for now, Paul
Thanks for listening to "Beileid" Congratulations on your 25 years of marriage and daughters!! Maybe I'll sing at your 50th wedding Anniversary if I'm in the neighbourhood !! I'll be 97. I added your pub song "Old London Town" to several of my playlist. Very catchy tune!! Keep well and creative, Ron
Hi Ronald, Thanks for adding "London Town" to your playlist!! It's actually just one of a few which made up my musical i wrote a few years ago based on Charles Dicken's "Great Expectations". Go steady Ronald! Invites go out for the 50th anniversary in 2051 so I'll keep you posted!! Best wishes, Paul
Thanks for the invite!! Where can I hear your musical? Have you posted it anywhere? Are you subscribed to Britbox?
Hi Ronald! No worries! The musical is free to listen to on my song list here. I think they are all together on an album here.... and it's also available on Spotify, apple music etc. I haven't heard of Britbox but I will have a look at that.Is it any good?
Ah, have just taken a look at BritBox. Looks great! I don't have that but I have the BBC iplayer which after getting a VPN change, I can watch UK TV. Thank goodness!

Your "Great Expectations" musical creation is fantastically well crafted ... Herzlichen Glückwunsch!!!
Hi Paul, Thanks for the 5-star rating for my song, "Earth River"....sometime, I need to tell you the story behind this song....it is amazing. Best to you, Chet PS This song comes from my new piano solo album, "Sierra Lullabies".... https://chetnichols.net/instrumenta ls-sierra-lullabies-piano-solos PPSS I love the look of your work space. Currently, my wife is allowing me a 4'x8' space in the second bedroom!
Hi Chet! No worries. A beautiful piano piece there and will catch up on a few more of your songs soon. The pic Chet, is unfortunately not my home. It's actually from Abbey Road studios last year. It was a lifelong dream come true. Best wishes, Chet and catch up soon.
OK Paul, it will be our secret, OK? If you don't mind, maybe I can help you out with that DREAM. So, if you don't mind, let me make some suggestions. I have been teaching meditation and "manifestation" since the 1960's. I know the ins and outs. First, DO NOT dream. You need to set a goal. Next, envision you HAVE IT. REALLY have it and FEEL IT. IN your mind you reaffirm it daily. Example say, "I remember WHEN I didn't have my dream home studio.... THEN say, I AM the owner of a GREAT HOME STUDIO and the home to go with it. Do not worry about "how, when, why, where"..... believe it, feel it PASSIONATELY and envision it vividly. Do not doubt. Believe you HAVE IT NOW. Anytime, doubt pops up, say, "NO, I have the wonderful home studio in a wonderful home". Then say, "It is DONE".....and drop it. do this three times a day. It will take you 3-4 minutes. Be thankful and grateful. Then, for 7 DAYS, as you lay in bed before you fall asleep, do this exercise: Say you affirmation 100 times. 100 hundred times, "I HAVE (not want) my dream home studio and the home to go with it". 7 days....100 times. Believe it and feel it..... then drop it and go to sleep...... Do this, you will be surprised what happens.... Best, Chet
Many thanks, Chet! Will try that! Go steady, Best, Paul
People usually pay for this...but I give it away.... OH, check out my new track, "The Mother Road Lullaby"..... wonderful tune..... Chet
Hi Guys! Many, many thanks for your appreciation for my song "Ich Für Dich" . It's a crazy song on my part because it shouldn't have turned out in the style that it did, if that makes sense. It was fun to do though and I got to use some synth sounds which I would have never used. Thanks guys and best wishes!!
Absolutely makes sense, Thanks for sharing your art Paul! LC Team
Hi Toni, Paul here! Many thanks mate for the 5 star rating on my crazy German song, "Ich Für Dich". Appreciate it very much! The song actually started out as "Where Is The Love?", a lot slower in the style of Oasis and Coldplay but I couldn't get it to work. Trying to sleep, I had the song in my head a lot faster but shock of shocks realised it had to be a German schlager song!! So, here is the end result of an Englishman with a Somerset accent singing German. Thanks again mate, and best wishes!
Hi all! Many, many thanks for taking time out and listening to a chapter of my owl story AND giving it so much credit! Means so much and thanks so much. Best, Paul
We love that one Paul! Thanks for sharing! LC Team
Hi all! Many thanks for the 5 stars rating for my piece "Raindrops" the other day! Hope you are all ok and good luck and best wishes for 2025!! Paul

Many many thanks for your stars on "Forgive Me". It's just a song from a musical I wrote and the rest are on here also. It's my first try out with Spitfire Audio's BBC Orchestra free app and the sounds really are cool. Thanks guys for all of your support. Best wishes, Paul
Thanks for the five stars for "One Night Stand" Paul, but it was the other version featuring Kimberley Dunn which is in the Earth Chart! Tim who sang the version you heard (who is in Broadjam also) sings it so well I must agree. (I reckon it must be the song that's the common factor! Ha! Please hear Kimberley's version! What do you reckon about my song Link to, "Nashville Calling"? Once I release it I will put it on here! It is on many radios in US, England, Australia, Canada, Scotland etc....
Jim, I have just listened to the other version of "One Night Stand". It's absolutely beautiful!!! The harmonies, the little guitar licks in there and the piano is so cool. Congratulations to you all. Love it!
I tried with the link you sent Jim, but it didn't work unfortunately. I will look forward to listening to it though! Have a good Whitsun weekend!
Enjoyed "Coming on Home Again"! Very listenable! Will hear again! Your next song with harmonica I like! I play harmonica on the frame! Sorry my latest, "Nashville Calling" did not play! The link worked when I used it earlier but I have found that it only allows so many plays. Weird! Here it is again if you have the patience! https://on.soundcloud.com/aFZqJiU2k ngq9gGDA
Hi Jim! Still doesn't work, unfortunately. Thanks for having a listen to 'Coming On Home Again". I wrote it for my band and we've gigged it a few times now. It has been changed around a bit though these past few months and the version here is not how we perform it...if that makes sense. The other song, with the harmonica, I wrote a couple of months back specifically for a submission asking for folk songs in the style of Bob Dylan so I thought I would give it a go. Go steady Jim and thanks again for your support!
Paul what is your email address and I will send my mp3! I think Broadjam doesn't allow links!
Hi Jim, no worries. pauldaren1969@gmail.com
Hi Paul, thanks for the stars re Reach the Sky! It is a bit old school but it was my first Country forage! My, "One Night Stand" is more up to date. What do you reckon? I watched your Christmas video! It would have been a lot of fun creating it. Congratulations! Sync opportunities are always needing Christmas songs. Maybe I'll write one since it can be in vogue every year!
Hi Jim! Hey, I've just listened to your song 'One Night Stand' and it's great, really! Love the lyrics as it tells many a persons story and musically its really cool. Well recorded as well! Many thanks for your support Jim and yeah, keep getting those songs rolling in!. Best, Paul
Thanks Paul, for your great comments! Actually my latest song, "Nashville Calling" is possibly my best! It's not on here yet till I release it officially but here is a Pre release Link specially for you. It is every Country Wannabe's dream! https://on.soundcloud.com/cKPvZ3fyb 1bLkcTq7 My, "One Night Stand" is No.2 in Broadjam's Top Chart "Earth"! Your 5 stars would get it back up to No.1 again probably!
April skies is a lovely, classy song which progressively develops and tapers off at the end with single chinks on the keys! Very nice indeed! Lovely strings supporting! Do you play the piano here Paul?
"It's Christmas Time" is a fun number! They say Christmas songs are always popular and in demand! I will have to try and write one!
Many, many thanks guys for the endorsement!! Really appreciate it to get this kind of feedback as it gives me so much support to compose more music. Thanks all!

Hi Lads! Firstly, thanks for the 5 star rating for 'Abe's Song'! Many thanks for your continuing support! Your song "Strange World" is absolutely brilliant and that piano in the intro is immense let alone the e guitar break later in the song. Cool number!! Take care lads and keep rockin'! Paul

You have interesting music Paul! Thanks for sharing... LC Team
Hi Kate, Paul here! Many many thanks Kate for reviewing 'Peace And Harmony and giving me a full score! I wrote the song especially for an opportunity which requested folk songs in this style. I have always liked Bob Dylan's works and I know he was a great influence on 'The Beatles' , my favourite band. I was trying to get my daughter to play violin on it but instead of that, she helped me with the arrangement of it. Hope you are all well Kate and having continuing success with your lovely songs. Enjoy the Easter hols and God Bless!
Thanks Paul!
Hey lads! Many many thanks again for your 5 star ratings! Thanks for your support as it's nice to know that the hours which get put into all these songs, some appreciation for all that hard work comes back. Thanks all, much appreciated!! Best wishes, Paul
