Go for it Joy! Your songs are a great fit for a school based production. Many publishing companies are looking for shows to produce. 'Out of the Ark' are probably the most popular and also 'Edgy Productions' who published three of mine. (Maybe I'm biased but they are the best!) You are very talented so go for it!

I feel like a kid with pigtails. I posted my song 'Companionship' and some other lyrics 'Exceedingly Content' (not yet produced) to the UK songwriting Competition. I got 5 STARS! A rating of Five Stars means that the song is a well written and complete song that shows a very good understanding of the craft of songwriting, song form and composition. All songs with this rating are considered for the Semi Finals. Five Stars indicates that the writer(s) have been recognised by the judges as talented, capable songwriters with definite potential and these writers have demonstrated that they can write songs of a professional standard. Five star songs which do not progress into the Semi Finals are given various awards:- see below for an explanation of Commended Entry, Highly Commended and Special Mention Awards. A rating of Five Stars can be compared to passing at least a Grade Five Music Grade Exam or higher. I am going to get certificates of commendation and I am bowled over. I'm doing something right!

Thank you Mike for your detailed response. Yes I am very interested in working with your organisation. I am a mature London based lyricist who has had six songs produced in the USA with instrumental versions in the pandemic period. They are on Broadjam. I think that the quality is good, some of them have been selected to be played on Bree Noble's 'Woman of Substance' podcasts, one coming up next week. I am happy with the terms that you have set out. I have a non exclusive arrangement with Pop_Up music in the UK with two songs but not the instrumental. Should we proceed I will withdraw my arrangement with them for any piece that you choose to contract with me. Best Wishes Joy

This was drafted as a tribute to my kids ad a song w/lyrics but i heard it as a classical/romantic piece so hired a Swedish( or swiss, i know 2 guys LOL) to lay down the melody line on piano and i told him where to add the fake strings--it does work, and thanks much for your encouraging words! all the best warren

Hi Joy, I write lyrics and sometimes I collaborate with a young musician in Nashville and some of my other songs I have produced by a company. So we are similar. I actually do not sing or perform in any shape or form but I have that covered.
