Thanks So Much, Jackie, for the "Turn Up the Moon" review. Didn't think I'd get such a good review for such a silly little song. Guess I have a lot to learn about "shopping" songs (particularly in Europe); seems I send songs all over the place and nothing much happens. But with positive feedback from people like you, I'll keep at it. Just listened to beautiful "Arllington." Lovely vocal harmony, and your vocal delivery is haunting. Chincoteague, VA is one of my favorite places; used to bring the kids there, years ago. Thanks Again. Dave Downs
Thanks Dave. When I did that CD, which is very Ambient for me, it was a kind of oddball track. Usually I write lyrics like the ones for Amsterdam, or the Friendship. Arlington was more hymn like. I watch lots of foreign films and I hear songs like yours a lot. The French, especially, love quirky songs like yours. So do I. They are different and don't follow the main stream. Whether you meant to do it or not, it has its own style. Let's connect. Best, Jackie
Thanks Dave for the highly articulate positive review, its appreciated ! Linda
Dave, Thanks for a very thoughtful and thorough review of "SunQueen". Im coming back to listen to to you. Where is "fresh cut grass"? pat
Hi Dave,Thanks for your positive, nice review on "It's So Clear" Helpful and appreciated!
Wow! Thanks so much Dave for your favorable review and comments about "Son of Mine"! I never really expected to receive a favorable review of the song, cause it was just a fun little ditty I put together for my son for a birthday present. I listened to "Cell Phones Are Miraculous Devices" and LOVE IT!! I also like your recommendation about a broadjam section devoted to a Capella. In fact, why don't we both email broadjam and ask them to set up a specially designated category within "Unique" specifically for A Capella?? Again, many thanks. best, jay
Dave: Thanks for the listen and review of "In the Game". I put the songs on broadjam to see if anybody thought any of them were worth singing. I can't sing and can't play the guitar very well but gave it a shot with a little Tascam 788, Ovation guitar, and $20 mike. What I'd hope to see at some point is somebody that knows what they are doing laying down one of my songs and posting it on broadjam. I'm going to give your songs a listen now. Thanks: Rich
Hi Dave.......Thaks for your kind review of "Easy 4 U 2 Say". I appreciate the positive feedback.
Hi Dave, Just wanted to thank you for your review of "Do You Love Me Now?" Your comments were very helpful. This song was actually a demo used as an audition for a film. They ended up using the demo in the scene. I am going to do a new version of it soon. Your comments are right on. Thank you!
Hey Dave, I just listened to "People Who Shout Things From Out Their Car Windows" Very funny and beautifully done, great harmonies and back ups! :) Nice work!
Hi Dave, glad you enjoyed "Mrs Cool Goes Back To School" kind of an odd little song, thanks for the positive good review!
Hi Dave and many thanks for your thoughtful review of 'Falling' which is really appreciated. Glad you liked it! Regards, Tony
Hi Dave, thanks for your positive review on "Road Worker Eradicator" It was actually a phony jingle submission for a past 6 pack competition. Those sounds of the workmen were not effects but actually really right outside my window LOL . So glad you enjoyed it, just something fun for laughs :) Thanks again!
Hey Dave... thanks for the review... of my Golden Years Tune. There's that cool car again.. I think I commented on this a few months ago... take care. Joe
Hi Dave, thanks for the review of my track called Stronger - you comments much appreciated. Good luck! Nigel.
Thanks very much for the great review Dave...I'm checking out "Buy One. Get One Free" (and in the immortal words of Maxwell Smart) AND LOVING IT! Nice production work, particularly on the vox, ya got some pipes! I always loved the Kinks and this song takes me to that same cool place. Best to ya, Carl
Hello there Dave. thanks again for the nice review, this time on Jessamine. It blooms first thing in the spring up in NE Florida where I live. Your review made me smile. Happy Spring from Mrs Kate! :) www.MrsKate.com www.broadjam.com/mrskate
Nighttime Descending is a brilliant tour de force of an adult bedtime lullaby, giving us all a goodnight kiss, tucking us in, and helping us fully relax and drift off to dreamland. A pleasure to listen to.
Hey Dave, nice to make your acquaintance-I visited your website and I am impressed with your music and your sense of humor. Broadjam could use more artists like you! Loved the concept of the "The Highly Unsuccessful Songwriter's Association"-you could possibly have millions of people in that group, me included!!
