Dennis, Thank you for the review of "The Hanging Tree".... It is a cover of a song from "The Hunger Games"... it took me standing through the credits to find the name of the song...the reason at the end my voice seems to be covered up is in the movie Jennifer Lawrence is singing and by the end there is an attack on the city infrastructure... so that is the build up... the male voice is my producer, who is often my backup vocalist... I am glad you liked it and felt, what I was going for....in music Delta🎶🎶🎶
Dennis, Thanks for reviewing "Short Story". You're probably right about it needing a chorus with the title to help folks to remember it. Somehow that never crossed my mind when I wrote it. Lessons learned... Thanks again for the listen. Bill
Hi Dennis , interesting review you gave for The Mission . Ha Ha , not sure how a song about aliens talking over the world only scores 8 out of 10 for originality , but each to our own .
sorry for short review, i should have been more thorough, i was interrupted when listening, i wrote a song donkeys years ago about aliens saving the planet from nuclear destruction,(and it might come true yet) so i thought 4/5 was fair for originality, enjoyed your song though, cheers
No problem Dennis , as my future son in law comes from Durham , I will forgive you this time .
Hi Dennis, thanks for the kind review or Magic of Music. I'm glad you liked it. I like your songs also, some gems! Good luck!

Hi, Dennis. I was looking through the reviews and i appreciated much that you enjoyed "We Didn't Have Time Enough." I dropped by to listen to your tunes and what delightful surprises you have! Your lilting melodies and storytelling, like Gordon Lightfoot or Paul McCartney, but definitely your own. Your guitar playing is virtuoso with smooth vocals to match...I lack both and admire those who can do it! "Lakes of Ponchatrain," "Katy's Dance," "Susie," "There's No Glory," and "It's a Lonely City," are a few I listened to, and all very good! If you enjoy writing memorable songs, you live up to it! I try to do the same, even if I play only to compose songs and then find others for the actual recordings. John
Dennis, glad you liked "Delta Dawn" thank you for your kind review... with a name like mine, how could I not 🎶🎶🎶🎶DELTA
Hi dennis, you got some really nice tunes here, I enjoy your music style and guitars, very nice!
Hi Dennis, thnak you for the kind and thoughtful review of "Girl In Disguise" (male vocals). I was wanting to clarify what you meant by "the recording level of the recording is pretty low compared to others i have listened to, although all the elements of the recording are well balanced and fit in well together, maybe you could just knock the output volume up a smidgeon more" was it only the volume issue or the overall production you feel was "low"? This is a different producer than I usually use so I was curious about that. Thank you again, and happy holidays
"Words can't wait" is another excellent track which tells a lovely, homely story in a very melodic way! I can absolutely hear the 'sounds like' Mcartney and Lennon. It's got very powerful harmonies that are very memorable! I'm surprised I missed this in the various Broadjam charts that we are both in. Robert
Hi Dennis, I managed to find a moments to begin listening to your music! "Katy's Dance" is a cracking track and obviously, with my Scottish background this particularly appeals and could very easily be played around ceilidhs all over the country! To be able to write a song like this (which obviously also has Irish roots) takes real talent as I think the temptation is to get drawn into one of the many thousand songs similar to this. You've managed to create an authentic sound which sounds very real! Great job!!! Robert
Hi Dennis. Many thanks for the review of "This Feels Like Falling in Love"...much appreciated and a very fair review of a song that in my eyes, is probably about a 4/5 in most areas. In other words, I've written better but also written worse! Nice to connect to someone from a very familiar part of the country to me. Grandparents and mother from Darlington, Great-Grandparents from Bishop Auckland, Shildon and Coundon. And, I went to Uni in Middlesborough (for a year). When my youngest member of the family allows (he's only 1!) I'll take a listen to some of your tracks too! Cheers, Robert
Hi Dennis, thanks for a very kind review of Time To Think. Much appreciated. Bob
Dennis, Thank you for the review on my "ERIE CANAL'"fact my children walked the tow path...we lived near the extension of the Erie Canal in New York..glad you liked the ending... when I was a real youngster there was a female harmony for the chorus and that is where the ending came from...again thank you...friend in music....

Hi Dennis, I am happy to have you as a BJ friend, thanks for asking. However, I am baffled as you refer to my review of one of your songs but I have no record of ever doing so. Are you sure you don't mean to be thanking Delta, rather than me? If not, please let me know which of your songs I reviewed as I'm intrigued? Cheers, Bob
Susie's tale of sadness is well told for sure. It's easy to listen to and well understood, both lyrically and musically.
this is the 2nd tune having the "Irish" taste. Tales of Ponchatrain being the other.
nice twist on a typical story line. Great bass movements against your leads. Heading to listen to more of your compositions. Nice work!
thanks for your kind reviews

Dennis thanks for your kind review of The Second Hand! I'm enjoying your work a lot --I used to listen to a lot of Bensus, Carthy, Graham, Lunny, et all so the sound is very familiar, and your playing is really good. And what a great tenor voice you have! It's nice to meet up--funny how we've been on here more than five years and yet haven't before. Cheers ~Jeff
