Thanks for you review of "Soundtrack". "Gem" is a nice word! I'd be interested to know your thoughts on increasing the "originality" rating.
My pleasure, great song. Originality can endanger the ability of a great song to get heard in the mainstream contemporary market and push you more to the progressive underground sound. But if you get a real kick out of being creative in the hope you can forge your own sound and develop a mass following there is nothing wrong with that. Beatles did it against the odds and most who did are still rocking 40 years on. It's tough though and always needs luck.. My best song on BJ is Jazz Top 10 No.1 but its not original just good contemporary fit in the Swing genre. Most of my new work is progressive verging on New Age but fun to produce and will be reliant on a lucky break to get heard on a large scale. Hope this helps and good luck with "Soundtrack" it doesn't have to be original to get heard. Cheers Geoff

It definitely makes more sense with the vocals! Especially now that I know it's a kid's song. I guess one thing to think about is that it's really hard to review the instrumental versions.

Yes - the vocals are not as good as they should be. It was recorded a couple of years ago for a cometition, and I was ill at the time. Hopefully vocal issues should be resolved in the re-record.
