Hartmut, I just wanted to say dankeschoen for your very fair & constructive critique of my disco/funk tune "POW". I agree that making your own samples adds a personal touch to a composition, but at the time of recording that song Native Instruments 10 was all that I had as far as sample libraries go. I really try using live instruments and musicians as much as I can over samples. There are far too many talented good people who are more than willing to showcase their talent. The convenience of samples is a great tool, but nothing can substitute the feel and flavor of a talented musician doing their thing. Especially a drummer and horns player! Thank you for your review of "Sans Pepto". Your comments were right on. The song is actually unfinished as I'd hoped to find a lyricist to write a melody. After so many attempts to finding someone for this task, I decided the instrumentation actually could stand on its own, but, yes, the drums ARE computer software and I've been lazy in correcting them. Perhaps your review will inspire me to step back and finally fix them. Best Wishes....Thanks!
