Ever want need a lyricist, hit me up.
Hi Nick. Thanks for the great review of my song "It's Always Raining". :)
Thanks for the great review of my song "Talk of the Town" Greg. Appreciate that. All my songs are just demos to pitch to artists, these are not "masters". But thanks for the comment.
Sharon, You sure can sing. Lovely melody and great vocal performance on Real Men Cry Sometimes.
Awww shucks Brian. Thank you very much. That song is very close to my heart and special because it's a true story about my brother. He still hasn't had the stomach to listen to it yet after all these years of knowing about it. I'm hoping to get a cut with it soon. Pitching it to major artists now. Glad you like my original rendition of it though.
Hi Julia. Thanks for the great review of my song "My Life To Live". Much appreciated girl!
Sharon, always a pleasure!!! Keep it up!:)... Blessings... Julia:)
you too girl. Beautiful voice you have!
Awww thks so much:) soo appreciated! I think we finally connected! Lol
:)
Hi Julia. Thanks for the great review on my song titled "Breathless". Glad you liked it. Appreciate you listening. Please feel free to go to my main site at the link provided. Sharon Hope www.reverbnation.com/sharonhope
You bet!!! For sure!! Many Blessings.... Julia
Wow Don! Thanks for the almost perfect score on your review of my song "My Little Girl". Glad you enjoyed it and could relate to it. It's my mom's favorite song that I've written. :) God bless my friend!
thanks for adding my song "You Got Me" to your playlist of top songs! That's amazing! You rock Brian. Have a blessed day. :)
You are most welcome. A wonderful song.
:) Thanks Brian! So kind of you.
Thanks for reviewing my song "Should've Been Me". It's an older song of mine and was written and recorded all by me when I was first learning how to write songs. Sorry you had to review one of my not so good songs. Lol. I've improved 110% since then and have much better songs and productions. Feel free to listen to my better and newest material here or visiting my main site at www.reverbnation.com/sharonhope. Would prefer your thoughts on my better songs. I've learned a lot since that song and know how to write now. :)
Sharon, you have more courage than me.took off my early stuff. :). probably should remove more. I look forward 2 checking out your music.
Yeah, lol, maybe I should remove all my "not so good earlier stuff" too. I don't know why broadjam's system pulls up older songs that are years old instead of new uploads anyway. Kinda not fair to keep getting old songs reviewed and not the new ones. Your review was the first one I've received in over a year and that's the one that quenes up? Ridiculous system on here. I hardly use this site anymore anyway. :)
You can edit your old songs so people can't review them. Listened to You Got Me. Very nice!
Maybe I should go edit the old ones now then. Lol. And thanks. Glad you liked it!
and don't feel stupid. I've come a long way since that song no doubt. Thank goodness. :) Listening to your songs now. They're beautiful! Is that you singing or demo singers? Great voice on "Country Alright". :)
I wish. God didn't give me the singer part of singer/songwriter. Country Alright is brand new. Posted it on 10/1. Glad you liked it. Michael Lusk of Nashville is the singer. He is awesome.
Your songs are terrific with or without your voice. I see you get Stacy Hogan to do a lot of your demo productions. I used one of his female singers for one of my songs. The country version of my song "Breathles". I have a pop version that I sang on. I've only hired demo singers for about 4 of my songs. The rest are me. I've been told I need to hire them for all my songs though and I might get them placed. lol. I just have that kinda money to be hiring demo singers every time I write a song. I've written over 400. It could get expensive if I did that. :)
I think your voice is pretty. If I had your voice, I wouldn't hire a demo singer most of the time. I don't demo songs anymore unless I get a favorable pro review. And if I don't demo them, I don't upload. Look forward to listening to more of yours. Send me a message of your favorites and I'll start there. Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks Brian! I left you a private message with details for my songs on the other site. :)
Hi sharon thx for the review. I am in NC on vacation mrskate ie jazz
you're welcome :)
Love 3, 2, 1 also! You're totally awesome dude! Love your work!
"WOW"! haha! Great song Jay. Loved it! That song would be great for Taylor Swift! You should pitch it to her. Absolutely the best song I've heard in a while. Great job. Would love to collab with you anytime if you're interested. :)
Hey Sharon, thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed my stuff. Haha it would certainly be cool if T-swift picked up that song, though getting to that point is pretty difficult, to put it mildly! I'll check out your music too when I get a chance!
Yeah, I know how difficult it is to get to major artists' cause I pitch my songs to them all the time.
i posted/you know me/over on my facebook page--2 plays now--i love it!--joe
thanks buddy! I appreciate that!
i just played/you know me/ 1 more time !--yeeee hi !--such a great song--i can just imagine you jumping up and down a bit while you were singing this---thanxs--joe.
that's not a dancing/fast paced song, so not much dancing was going on while I recorded that one. lol
just stopped in to say hello--i think of you once in awhile--i was looking at /you know me/yesterday--i love that song--cheers--joe
thanks buddy! Always thinkin of you too! Got a lot of new songs finished, but can't post them due to my management trying to pitch them to major label artists right now. Will keep you posted.
Hey Sylvia. Thanks for the awesome review and score of my song "Boy". It's one of my older songs, so my choice of music tracks and production to write to has improved 1000%. Lol. I originally wrote it for Britney Spears, so I might go back to it one day and re-do it do that I can present it to her. I just got done writing one for her that my manager will definitely be pitching to her, but of course, that song will not be posted anywhere for anyone to hear because of that. :) glad you liked it though. It's definitely a unique song and I'll update it eventually to make it pitchable. Thanks again and God bless! Sharon
Sharon, as I said, the introduction was awesome. That's a great idea to get them to where you want them to be. Hope Britney accepts your songs. I didn't realize you have a manager. You know, my songs get considered here but rarely get selected. I'm looking for a publisher. A manager wouldn't be for me cause I'm just a lyricist, right? Take care. Sylvia
Hey, I don't mean to eaves drop....but I am surprised that you rarley get selected. I have seen you get considered quite a bit, even two songs with one listing.
@delplato and @Slyvia...yeah, I see your stuff considered all the time and more than one song for the same listings.
Good luck Sharon
Sharon, I'd like to get a manager. I'm wasting a lot of money. How do I go about it? And how much does it cost? I'll look it up on the internet. But perhaps you could give me some ideas. I think some of my music is good enough for artists. I'd really appreciate it. Just stay tough and you'll get what you want eventually. Much luck.
It shouldn't cost you anything to get a manager. They are supposed to work off of a percentage. They don't make money unless they are getting you money. Bottom line. Percentages usually range anywhere from 10-20%. Mine found me on LinkedIn. He thoroughly checked me out before he contacted me back after initially connecting to me. I would suggest only going with a manager or management firm that definitely has time for you and your music and not someone that will put everything ahead of you. Been there, done that. And get someone that has been in the industry at least 20 years. Experience and connections in this industry are everything and will help get you further. I am a prime example of that. Don't be just a numbered client to them. Find someone that believes in you and your music and makes you a priority. Hope this helps in your search girl. Thanks and God bless!
Sharon, thanks. I think I have enough songs for someone to be interested in me.
Hi Sharon, I just reviewed one of your songs and felt compelled to come to listen to some more. Your material is great. I can see that you have a lot of success in front of you, Best, Vinnie
Hey Vinnie! Thanks! Very awesome for you to say that and to take time out of your day to listen to my songs. Really appreciate that and the love. Working on a few things including writing new songs, up and coming artist in the UK recording some of my song, and a possible major song placement with a major female pop artist. So, things are in the works for major deals and things are looking up. Thanks again for the support. God bless!
Hi Shannon, You are all set to go, N dought about it. Keep your eye on your writing. The deal will take care of itself (for what that's worth), and thank you for the kind words. I'd like to connect with you but I'm not seeing that option anywhere.
Hi Sharon (now that I got your name right), I have a couple of songs I think you may like "Stranger In a Lonely Land" and " Starlet Eyes". I have not had a chance to listen to all of your 62 songs yet, but you sound like me. All of our songs were done differently for different reasons. There is no dought in my mind that your at the Top Of Your Game. Good for you, Vinnie
Thanks Vinnie. I appreciate that!
Thanks for the good review of my song "Pretend To Make-Believe". Hope you've been doing well.
Hey Nick. Thanks for the great review of my song "Should've Been Me". God bless! Sharon
Hi Sylvia! Thanks for your wonderful review of my version/cover of Michael Jackson's song "You Are Not Alone". I am so glad you liked it! That song is one of my favorite's from Michael ever and I've always wanted to do a cover of it, so I did! LOL! Thanks again for the awesome review! God bless! Sharon
Loved it, glad to do it.
Thanks again girl. Love your songs too!
Hey Denise! Thanks for reviewing my song "Kiss My Body" and giving it a perfect review score. That's totally awesome! Glad you like it. I actually wrote that song for Britney Spears to record it. I'm hoping to get it to her soon with my new management. I wrote another one for her titled "I've Had It" that you can also hear on my song list here at broadjam. Stop by my page anytime and listen to any of my songs. I'd love your feedback. Thanks again and God bless. Sharon
as much as i HATE!--to admit it--i am starting to like C-LOW GREEN,i saw him do /BORN TO BE WILD/by STEPPENWOF on THE VOICE awhile back and it just blew me away--now that was some doing--i remember being at a STEPPENWOLF show in INDY at a night club many years ago--if my table was any closer--it would have been on the stage--it was awesome----$5.00 cover charge--i sat at that table by myself and just kept ordering pitchers of beer--the rest was history--these guys were so good--i couldn't hardly believe it--it was in speedway indiana,by the track and the club was THE PEPERMINT TIGER--one time deal--nj.
sounds like it was a blast! I'm a big fan of C-Lo Green too. He's a great performer. I love big stage productions and boy does he always do it big.
i really liked the show he did last night at the billboard awards--the one legged man dressed in military clotes dancing all over the place--that was really great--gee whiz--that guy moved faster than me on his one leg than i do on two--cheers--joe
I know right? He was awesome!....the military dancer I mean. He stole the show in my eyes. He was totally amazing and makes me say to myself, "why do I ever complain about anything?" Very inspiring and moved me.
yes indeed,he moved me too--i am gonna try to help DEBORAH WEDEKIND--she is a performing artist, get to some spots on tv and do some concerts--i might as well try to help somebody--it's too hot here to do much outside--it's in the over 90's and my steel body guitar gets so hot--i can't hold it--i used to do stage shows out in this heat--i just can't do it anymore--i used to have vhs video's of my outdoor concerts and stuff, but the hurricane took them out--cheers--joe.---------sharon my dear--you are an inspiration to me--thank you--nj.
wooh, 90 degree weather huh? Yeah, that's a blazin'! lol. You inspire me my friend! Good luck with the promo of your friend!
she might need some new songs some day too--i got a lead on 2 tv stations that go global--that would be so neat!--we will see--nj
Ok sounds cool. Email me a link to hear her voice and songs so I can know what she sounds like and what her style of songs are.
she is DEBORAH WEDEKIND on broadjam here--as usual though--everything is at a snails pace--thanxs--sometimes i wish i had a wife like you--ha ha!--we would rule the world--i saw the kid today who was suppose to do a custom paint job on the mud turtle--he had so many problems--i looked at him and said--gee kid--i haven't had such a bad month after all--we laffed and he rode off on his bike--cheers--joe.
Haha. Ok I'll chech her out.
hey sharon--i am watching the BILLBOARD AWARDS on TV--i really like Katy Perry---some day one of your songs will be a hit on there--i remember JIMMY SWAGGART had a gospel song on billboard number 1 for 2 years 2 weeks and a few days--that is a long time--he did not write it either--he just recorded and performed it--it is titled--THERE IS A RIVER---cheers--joe
I forgot the billboard awards was on tonight. Didn't get to see the first hour and a half. Watching now though. Yeah, Katy Perry is pretty good. Maybe my management can get me there by this time next year. We'll see how it goes.
hello--sharon----been awhile--you heard anything about /ALABAMA'S/ new album coming out--i haven't heard a thing--hope you doing all right--summer is here in florida--it is over 90 degrees out everyday now--i'm starting to look and feel like a piece of fried bacon again--i sure messed up when i didn't get your BOOM BOOM song--i really liked that one more than you know--i still listen to --YOU KNOW ME--in my truck some--cheers--joe
One of my friends is a close friend to a couple of the band members of Alabama. He was supposed to take a cd of my songs that I gave him and give it to them to see if they would want to record any of them. That was a couple of months ago and I haven't heard back from him yet. They are making a new album though. I was hoping my song "My Little Girl" would be on their new album. I've got to give my friend that knows them a call and see if he even took my cd to them like he said he would. As for my Boom Boom song, yeah, it's still my song, I just have to get a new music track to it. My new manager is working on getting a top producer that has produced tracks for Key$ha, Britney Spears, B.O.B., etc., to produce a new, even better music track to it. So don't fret my friend. That song will be even better than what it was originally. I'm working on lyrics to a track that a DJ from Italy sent me right now. If he likes what I wrote and what I come up with for a song to it, him and his team will release it and put it out in the music market for everyone to hear and buy. It's a great track and I've got some great ideas for some melodies and the hook so I'm sure it'll be a great song. Hopefully, I can get that started at least this week. I've also got a producer in Nashville that wants to make an album with me. I'm pretty excited about that. He's putting together the studio team now that I'll be working with and getting the right people on board for the album project. The album will probably be a combination of my songs and maybe some collaboration songs and maybe even some outside songs. The producer said as long as we have the perfect songs for me, he doesn't care where they come from or who writes them. I tend to agree, but it'll probably be mostly my material. More likely to also be a country album...cross-over type songs like Carrie Underwood and Shania Twain type songs I suppose. Got so many cool things going on for me right now. I've never been so happy 'cause I finally found the right people to work with that believe in me, love my songs, and are already making things happen and working hard for me. I am truly blessed to have this new management and producer working with me. That Grammy stage is getting closer every day my friend! Get the mud turtle ready! Haha! Love you my friend! Sharon
thanxs for your note--made my day--probably isn't a day goes by that i don't think of one of youe songs or somthing--i was bragging on ya just a coople of days ago--i was studying on how to join the grammy folks,so i could nominate you and a few others on broadjam--i couldn't do it--too much stuff for me,so--i got rejoined-with the GOSPEL MUSIC ASSOCIATION out of nashville,tn.--i can nominate people for a DOVE AWARD--in the gospel category--i am so happy for you--not only you--but,lots of us work so hard at this songwriting thing that we love so much--i see my CHRISTMAS BLUES is on top 10-again---i should get an award for that one being in the top 10 about 35 times--oh well--much love to ya my friend--you are one of my all-time favorites--BOOM BOOM BABY!--WOOT WOOT!--yeee haw!--cheers--joe.
oh--mud turtle is ready-gonna have to get overload springs put on soon--all them grammies is gonna weigh in at a ton---ha ha-love--joe
haha. yeah, I hope we can overload the mud turtle at some point! lol. I'll nominate you for a broadjam award for your Christmas Blues song! Way to go. I'm starting to see that more of my songs are hitting in the top 10 for North Carolina. It's a small start, but a start no doubt. :) yes, a lot of great things are happening. I'm trying to get a hit producer that has produced hits for Britney Spears and Keysha to produce a new track for my Boom Boom song. I am hoping he'll want to do it. If he can come on board that song project, I know we can get that song placed with a major artist. Congrats on renewing your GMA membership. I haven't written any gospel songs, well one, but I have produced one that a friend of mine wrote. It's more southern old-time black gospel but, it turned out really great. Probably not GMA nomination material, but a great production needless to say. :)
i would love to hear it-anyway-if possible--but if not OK too-cheers--joe
Ok. I'll send it to you. Like I said, I didn't write any of it. I just produced it. I'll email it to you this week.
Hey Nick. Thanks for the great review of my song "Real Men Cry Sometimes". I'm currently trying to pitch that song, along with a lot of others, to major artists. Glad you liked it. Stop by and check out some of my other songs anytime. God bless. Sharon
hey sharon---LIZ MILLER on BJ here has a song titled--WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER and Margaret McClure has a song titled--YOUR A DICK---these two gals are a couple of my favorites--if you haven't heard these two songs--you gotta check them out--i guarantee you will get a kick out of them--cheers--joe.
Lol. Ok, will do!
hey sharon--i gotta confess--you told me you got to see THE EAGLES awhile back--ha ha--i got jealous--i have been to at least 3000 concerts and i never got to see them--that is so cool--i would have traded my LED ZEPPLIN tickets for that one---cheers--joe.
Haha! It was a great concert. It was on their "Hell Freezes Over" tour. So, it was a long time ago.
oh!--your singing just keeps getting better and better too--i wish i could sing half as good as you--thanxs--joe.
Thanks buddy! I'm no great singer, so I concentrate on the songwriting instead. :) I try my best. I do have a producer in Nashville that want to record an EP with me, so maybe my voice is ok after all. I don't have perfect pitch, but then again, not many people do. Getting great vocals is such a struggle for me since I don't have a really high range, but I do the best I can for each song that I write and hope that my vocals are good enough to pitch the songs in the end.
HOLY SHIT ! what a soundtrack ! kept me on my toes--great words--i kinda know how that goes too--i love you just as you are--so now change everything--and make it snappy--great singing--i just love your stuff sharon--this is a really nice one--i am gonna give it a listen again after while--cheers--joe.
Aww...thanks Joe! I'm glad you liked it. I'm actually still waiting to hear back from the producer that wrote the track to see if he likes what I did with it. I sent it to him at the first of the week and I still don't know if he likes it or not. I hope he does so that my new management team can start pitching it.
Hey buddy! My new song "Now I'm Free" has finally been activated on here. It's the first song. Come by and check it out when you have time and give me your honest opinion. Same producer done this track that done the track for "Just To Be With You". Sharon
