Biography
Bonfils is a Danish electronica/singer/songwriter artist.
Born Kim Bonfils in 1960, Bonfils won special price in a Hans Christian Andersen musical competition at the age of eighteen. Around the same time he experimented with electronic music at the Holstebro Elektron Musik Studie (HEMS).
In the mid-eighties he became known as keyboardist/composer in quirky new wave band Det Neodepressionistiske Danseorkester. He also played keyboards and was the main songwriting force behind the band Megabody, featuring lead singer Frank Megabody.
After the disbanding of both Det Neodepressionistiske Danseorkester and Megabody, Bonfils continued to work with Frank Megabody: As a keyboard player in glam rock revival band little willy and the wild ones and as performer and songwriter in the comedy duo Megabody og Bonfils.
In 2000, Bonfils joined indie power-pop band Neon Machine as keyboardist.
From 2005, he has been writing songs for a solo project, currently named Bonfils. Works in progress can be downloaded from bonfils.com.
