Sustaining a head injury in a car accident in Apr 2009 changed his life. Shortly after the accident he had his first Psychotic episode. Music also entered into his life. In the fall of 2009, Andrew started writing songs on the keyboard w/o ever having any music training. In Apr 2010, he picked up a guitar for the 1st time. Since the accident, he has struggled with depression, Bi-polar, and has written over 200 songs. His songs reflect his struggles w/ themes of loneliness, loss, abandonment, etc. In Jul 2013, an episode landed him in a jail cell for 7 months. Now in a State Hospital, he writes/records songs in his room. Although not perfect recordings, he is able to convey the general structure and melody. His songs provide a window into his soul. There is a wonderful raw, unpolished innocence in his writing. Lyrics generally melancholy, reflecting realities of living w/ severe depression. A distinct style-sound. Influence of artists like Kurt Cobain, Elliot Smith, and Nick Drake.
