***** WE'RE NOW ON iTUNES!!! *****

Mick Daniel and the Raynmen - a rootsy, hard-hitting quartet whose songs range from poignant to light-hearted in theme, with Mick's sense of humour - sometimes dark, sometimes silly - sneaking in where you most and least expect it.

On September 10, 2009, AR Select, an A&R company based in Los Angeles issued this review of their EP, "Alberta Beef":

"With shout outs to old school in-your-face no-nonsense bands like the Outlaws, Mick Daniel and the Raynmen throw down some terrific, hardcore bar band flavors on their splendid duo of ep's. "Lost in Love" is a scrumptious guitar smorgasbord of melody. The follow up track, "Cowpunk Boogie", does nothing to disappoint the direction of rock and roll momentum. Overall, from start to finish, a solid group of old school, sweaty, get'up'dance gems!"

Mick Daniel and the Raynmen - a rootsy, hard-hitting quartet that can fit easily into a rockabilly/cowpunk/alt country or even classic rock venue/category.

The songs range from poignant to light-hearted in theme, with Mick's sense of humour - sometimes dark, sometimes silly - sneaking in where you most and least expect it.

They're a little bit country ... a little bit rock and roll ... a lot rootsy ...

Based in Calgary, many of their songs have a western-Canadian flavour and references to local places and topics.

Mick is currently working on music for the movie "For Whom He Tolls" - for more info check out http://www.movieset.com/forwhomhetolls

He was also featured this past summer on the website and in the newsletter published by Taxi.com for successful placements by that A&R company!

On Friday, June 12, 2009 the band was showcased on 1060 Classic Country in Calgary, Canada.

The band's new EP, "Alberta Beef", was released in October, 2009 and can be purchased on iTunes, Amazon.com, Broadjam.com and a number of other music websites.

Hi Mick, Thanks for the review of "Jagged Edge", your feedback is appreciated. For the record there are live drums on the track, the verses and bridge has a loop but in the chorus live drums come in to bring the energy up.... I know because I played it. Your review was fair though, thanks again. Dave - CenterPeace

Hi Mick... thanks for the review for I Want To Live I Want To Die. It is kind of weird sounding I know - the reason being it was written expressly for a movie plot line about a guy who was dying and then fell in love with the woman who was supposed to assist him in his suicide - this all being filmed by some crazy producer. In the end he didn't want to die so they were trying to force him into it. A bit weird as I said but it was fun doing it - even though I didn't get it into the film. Good review! Thanks - Al

Makes sense - when you write fr specific situations the listener almost has to hear the song in the context of the film or whatever to really get it - good job!!
