Singer/Songwriter Rae ven Rae, is both a soloist and the leader of a band by the same name.
Born Alicia Renee Norman, began her journey into the world of professional music when she co-wrote a song entitled IS IT WORTH IT with Carlton "So-Lo" Lowe, the keyboardist of Virgin Record Signed Funk group KCM, Inc.
The song was included on KCM's Debut album DOING IT FUNKY SMOOTH, for which she also sang back up.
In August of 2003 Rae' Ven Rae and producer Ed Harlague of VJEWE ENTERTAINMENT graced the stage of 99X 's UNPLUGGED IN THE PARK, a live acoustic show, which was hosted by Matt Jones of Organic X and received an enthusiastic response. She later entered and placed as a finalist at the prestigious Eddies Attic Open Mic Shootout later that same year. Eddie's has been instrumental in launching the careers of artists like John Mayer and Shawn Mullins, to name a few.
Since that time she has graced the stages of hot Atlanta Night Spots like The Masquerade, Smithe's Olde Bar, Eddie's Attic, The Somber Reptile, The Liquid Lounge, Breakers of Jonesboro, and played the main stage at Piedmont Parks Nghosi Showcase.
Late 2005 her song TRUTH OR LIES was selected for a Lions Gate film entitled MOTOR HOME MASSACRE, which will be released this May. In addition to all this, this motivated and dedicated singer/songwriter performs part-time in a local show band called Twisted Hip (www.twistedhip.com) as well with guitarist Bill Devlin and backing vocalist Hilary Wallace , rounding out a trio who performs unplugged versions of her original pop/rock tunes..
