Kathy Watson is most known for her musical diversity. Having studied music for over 20 years she holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in operatic performance. Her song writing and interpretive style are heavily influenced by her background in multiple styles of music.. Her first two albums earned her recognition on the Grammy entry list for songwriting and performance and she has most recently been seen as a soloist at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. as well as at the MBSTIA music industry showcase, the Cutting Edge music industry showcase and the POPKOMM stage in Cologne, Germany also having most recently received air play on the Armed Forces Radio Network, Europe. She is writing for her third album of original music and has recentley relocated to Baltimore, MD.

Kathy Watson is most frequently defined as being a versatile vocalist. Her musical influences range from Roger Whitaker, Nana Mouskari, Cat Stevens and James Taylor to The Beatles, Eagles,Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Lauryn Hill, Jon Mayer, Nora Jones, Diana Krall, Ella Fitzgerald, Thievery Corporation, Zero 7, Cece Winans, Oleta Adams, and so many more. She has been described as a chameleon moving between classical music, musical theater, gospel, pop, and R&B fluidly.
Her goal is to write and produce quality music for her third solo album that is representative of her pop/acoustic/jazz style. She would like to place her songs in radio and TV and increase her fan base enough to gain the attention of music publishers and record labels. Lastly, she hopes to be performing very frequently with her new material and band.
