Archangel

Archangel grew up fast in Memphis, Tennessee where his childhood wasn't really a childhood so to speak. He would bounce around from house to house and was even forced to move out of state so that his father couldn't see him. From breakdowns in school because he missed his dad to angry feelings toward his father, young he would turn all of his negative anger into positive energy by becoming a top athlete in track, basketball, and football and joining the Marines later on. And being that he was the strong, silent, and independent type at such an early age, he would also invest a lot of his time into writing poems and reading the business & money sections of the newspaper instead of the comics. Even though it wasn't all fun & games for him back in the day, he didn't let it stop him from living life to its fullest. With a sharp & driven mind in place and a bright future on the cards, when young he had his eye on the prize and failure was not an option.

Music was the real saving grace & savior for Archangel where he said himself,

"Music after 15 has been my escape from most pains in my life".

Hanging out with his childhood friend Christopher Forest aka K-le in his grandmother's living room and recording music on a 4-track was where the magic happened and where it all started for him. Music opened up new & exciting doors for Brown where he could spread his wings and become Archangel for all to see and hear. Archangel would become Tarrance's new alter ego but more so it was his newfound image and presence that he would come to fully embody.

Tarrance aka Archangel owes a lot to his former neighborhood colleague Jason Riddle 'Chino' who is the one person that kept pushing Tarrance to do music in the first place. After 'Chino' read one of his poems, he was on him like white on rice to attack the mic and spill some rhymes. Archangel took his advice and decided to give it a shot at the age of 15 but you're already aware that Tarrance Brown grew up fast and focused so you have to know that it wasn't going to be a sloppy approach by any means. Far from it as Archangel would first listen to artists & labels like Rakim, Three 6 Mafia of Memphis, Indo G of Memphis, T- Rock, and No Limit Records to get a better and more in-depth understanding of the art of delivery.

Archangel was finally ready to fly high at 15 where it would start at school and lead to a friend named Bledsoe taking him to a studio after class and the rest is history!

Archangel "I" Press release

A progressive artist and songwriter from Memphis who has risen to immense social media fame with his sheer talent as a fantastic music producer is Archangel. The artist embraces the roots of hip-hop and R&B to set an exciting precedent in the industry. Blending the right amount of groove and immersive keys, the music curator has recently dropped another hit single titled 'I' that tries to spin the mood immediately and elevates the spirits with its dominant and enriching musical hooks. It's a positively gripping musical work that never lets up the intrigue and is accompanied by some great vocal performances by PMRnB and Briana Micah.

Archangel's chilled flow is influenced by the very best of both genres as he infuses new jack swing elements for offering a sound reminiscent of J Cole, Childish Gambino, and Kanye. With a lot of conviction, the talented musician has pushed his creative energy to reflect on his musical insight and has paved the way for a fulfilling future. The song 'I' comes attached with a captivating music video that certainly elevates the experience. The evolving nostalgic synth along with the artist's hard-hitting beat support creates a hypnotic upbeat ambiance which is definitely something that every music lover will keep wanting more.

Press Release

Hip hop artist Archangel recently released his mixtape Hallelujah M.U.S.I.C. (Classic Edition). Coast 2 Coast presents the project, which is hosted by DJ Charlie White, in association with Ground Level Leaders/Prophecy Writings. It is now available for free download. Hallelujah M.U.S.I.C features Archangel on tracks with guest artist appearances from KI, Miscellaneous, LC, D-Jae, Jozzy, Devious and Web. Production credits include Raw Heatz, 531 Music, Claws, Carmike, and Sinista, Web, and Trizz of The Machine.

Memphis artist Archangel is the first person out of his family to pursue music, and so he lists his influences as those people who make life a melody everyone from your everyday construction worker with a jackhammer, to a vocal note from Marvin Gaye. This mixtape is the first of three in his M.U.S.I.C. series. His goal with the Classic Edition is to bring to light a certain depth that he feels hip hop music is lacking. The second mixtape, Hallelujah M.U.S.I.C. (Exclusive Edition), which is hosted by DJ Charlie White/Traps-N-Trunks is set to drop in fall 2012; and the final installment, Hallelujah M.U.S.I.C. (Live Edition), will be hosted by DJ Smalls and will be released soon after.

The acronym M.U.S.I.C. stands for Man U Saw It Comin, which is the title of Archangels forthcoming album, set for release during the first quarter of 2013.

Hi T.Brown,
I recently listened to your track "Alchohol Anonymous" and spent some time listening. The production and overall feelings really stood out to me, it has a clear direction and does not feel like a casual release. The arrangement and sound choice especially give it a strong, placement ready vibe.
Just wanted to reach out and say you're building something solid here. Always good to see intentional work on Broadjam.
Are you currently focusing more on sync opportunities, streaming growth, or just creating freely at the moment?

I appreciate you taking the time to express this. I'm looking for more sync opportunities with the pieces I've put together, streaming isn't really an interest anymore because it doesn't really grab the ears of who it needs to.

Hi T. Brown,
I hear you! focusing on sync is smart, especially with the sound you're crafting. To make this really effective, I'd love to see where your tracks are currently hosted SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or anywhere else. Once I have that, I can put together a tailored plan to target placements that actually pay and get your music in front of the right decision makers.

Do you have a main link you do like me to start with?

At the moment I only have one for my lo-fi channel. Im working on the others.

I respect that. Starting with one focused channel is actually a smart move.

Let's do this: send me the link to your lo fi channel. I will review it properly and map out a clear sync positioning plan around it (metadata structure, catalog presentation, and placement targeting).
Lo_fi is very placement-friendly right now for background TV, indie film, YouTube licensing and mood based sync libraries, but it has to be packaged correctly to get picked.
Once I review it, I'll outline exactly what I would execute for you and the cost to implement it so you know precisely what you're stepping into.

Send the link and let's build it properly.

Lo-Fi Land
https://youtube.com/@lofilandoffici al?si=RFEos4LRE3w7y3-j

I went through both channels.
First! your sound is consistent. The lo-fi direction is clean, mood focused and actually usable for sync. That's good.

What's missing is not the music, it is positioning.

Right now the channels are set up like creator pages, not sync-ready catalogs. That means supervisors, editors, or licensing libraries won't immediately see the value or usability of the tracks.

Here is what I would do for you:

Restructure titles + descriptions for sync searchability.
Reformat metadata to match placement standards.
Create a catalog presentation format so tracks feel licensable, not just streamable.
Target specific mood based libraries that actively place lo-fi.

This is not about "promotion." It's about making your catalog placement ready and putting it in front of the right decision channels.

If you do like me to execute this properly, I can start with your lo-fi catalog first and build it the right way.

Let me know and I will send over the implementation cost and timeline so we can move forward. Also i noticed about 127 monthly listeners on your Lo_Fi Land spotify account, which is low and bad for you,

I notice you have an Upcoming album by 27 Feb, also it seems like you just joined this month?

Hello T.Brown, how is going at your end today, hope you're doing well? may God bless and be with you!

Well i implemented some optimization on the new release you drop on your Youtube a day ago at written by T brown channel,
I believe you can check out the improvement result and share your thought about it, as more is yet to come
Thanks,
Patrick

Jan 18 I will be having an album release party at the Rutledge in Nashville from 1pm-3pm.
