From the age of fifteen performing folk music for soldiers on military bases preparing for stints in Viet Nam to the age of retirement, writing music is hardwired into the core of Pacific Northwest songwriter Char Seawell.
Drawing from the stories of encounters with folks trying to make it through life's struggles with some grace and courage, Char's songs have received numerous songwriting awards locally, nationally and internationally.
Now, with a halo of gray and a renewed passion to express the landscape of the heart through acoustic music, the journey continues with Windfall, an acoustic duo that performs original music at coffeehouses and local events. Accompanied by husband and singer/guitarist Tim Seawell, their simple sound harkens back to an era where music brought you to that reflective place of rest and thoughtfulness. In their songs of a greater human struggle, we find our individual stories as well.
