Hey SR,

Thanks for the excellent review of the solo version of my song ..."Lady, Oh, Lady"! Very complete and thoughtful. There IS a studio version that actually addresses some of your " wish list". Check it out at my site. It is the non-solo version...

Hello SR. Never got a review from you before, so nice to meetcha on BJ. Thanks for reviewing my vintage song, Apart from Me. Yep, it was a devotional piece, and makes a good special music number in church or at retreats. People easily sing along, that's why I like it. Anyway, your comments on the recording were insightful and I appreciate your input! Mrs Kate PS Hope I get to review a tune of yours soon, and WELCOME TO BROADJAM!

Hi S.R. - Thanks for the thoughtful review of "Jagged Flames". You were right on the money - it is a true story with a bit of artistic license thrown in to make a song. The fellow in the story was a client of a friend of mine at a social service agency. The guy went out one morning for about ½ hour, leaving his young daughter alone in the house. When he came back the house was on fire and his daughter couldn't be rescued. He became semi-psychotic and spent the next several years wandering around the country, getting by doing day labor whenever he could find work. As my friend was working with him, he began getting it together, and when he had accumulated a bit of money said that he wanted to buy a violin. My friend asked him about this, and it turns out he had been a child prodigy and had been on national TV in his country of origin. I thought it was an absolutely incredible story and I just had to write a song about it. Marv
