Hi Treve, Thanks for a very fair review of Heart To Heart. It's a song that never really quite came together for me. It used to have one more chorus early on but that made it even longer! I probably should remove it, I never pitch it and it's not up to scratch. I'm glad to meet another reviewer who is honest but kind. Cheers, Bob
Hi Bob, It was a pleasure reviewing Heart To Heart. I know it is challenging with one's own work to chop things out. Some of my work was heavily edited by my friend/producer. i think songs these days are much longer than they used to be. I think all the songs on The Beatles first album were all under three minutes but they certainly packed a punch, they mastered the hook, and got the message across. I think many artists, including me, could learn from all that. Anyway, it's great recording one's own material, isn't it, and hearing it come to life. Good for you, and good luck! Cheers, Treve
Thanks. And thanks for the friend request, will certainly accept it. Might not stay on Bjam for much longer though, we'll see?!
Thanks for the nice comment on our suburban rock cover of Only Wanna Be With You. We've had several people say they like our version even more than the original; obviously a huge compliment. We had fun doing it. We've also covered Fire & Rain (a piano version) and Paul McCartney's Little Willow.
Hey Everybody .. I would like to collaborate with some artist from UAE hit me if interested BoomBoom
Spot on Treve Thank you for your review of Mary More. This was recorded in the early 80s as a novelty song for a film project. I think I wrote it 15 minutes and the boys and I popped it out in an afternoon. It was great fun. If I recall we taped it live and tracked in some sweetening tracks.
Hi Ken, my pleasure. I enjoyed the song's really natural feel - it really does sound like you enjoyed doing i. The late Andy Fraser of Free wrote Alright Now in 15 minutes, so you are in good company (other than the fact that you are still in this realm!)!
Sometimes the muse is as kind as she is persistent. I'm sure like you I am the happiest when I'm playing. Best to you my talented friend. Ken
