Alison Rice, is a veteran of Oregon's Portland music scene. Her 2004 release, "Wagon Wheel Rut", is an eclectic collection of songs reflecting her deep musical influences, a rich tapestry of story telling in true heartfelt country western and folk tradition. She is now performing with a gifted ensemble of musicians, billing themselves as Alison Rice and The Wheel. They have just released a new collection of original roots country/folk with a bluegrass feel. CD title: "Love To Go".

Alison Rice, aka Ali Montana, has been singing and playing music since getting her first guitar at age 15. From playing folk music in the stairwells at UCLA to getting together with friends to create some memorable Northwest bands, Ali has always loved to share stories through song. Her first cd release as a singer and songwriter is "Wagon Wheel Rut", an eclectic collection of heartfelt songs that has been receiving rave reviews.
Ali is currently performing around the Portland area with a gifted and high energy ensemble, The Wheel.
