Dement continued effort to write lyrics, arrange horns and instruments and produce songs, to be able to compete with the talented artists in the music industry. One night while playing in a night club in Canada, there were two musicians who really enjoyed Dement's performance and fancy bass work, gave him some state of the art recording equipment to bring to Buffalo to write and produce some songs for them, which was the first step in his career of becoming a recording engineer.
After discovering the technological advantages of having the equipment at home, Dement was able to make the music sound exactly the way he wanted without worrying about studio cost. Dement went on to obtain a Bachelors of Science degree in audio Engineering and Music Production. Working in sound reinforcement, Dement engineered shows for artist such as 50 Cents, Style P, Lloyd, Bone Crushis, Angela Boldfield just to name a few.
