Amanda Droste is no American Idol, and she is sure to let you know it on her sarcastically titled breakout tune "American Idle". Just one of the gems from her debut album "Unfazed" that had critics claiming her "brand of snappy pop-punk songs are better than most of the music out right now." Following it up with singles like "Thought You Were Dead", & "Reality Show", Amanda recently licensed her music to MTV and Showtime, and her voice opened a recurring segment called "Soundcheck" for the popular WB show "Extra".
With a history of working with industry pro's such as Sony's own Andre Deyo (writer: Jennifer Lopez), Jimmy Greco (writer/producer: Santana), Bart Migal (Engineer: Jessica Simpson) and Tommy Faragher (Producer: GLEE Soundtrack) it's no surprise she has twice appeared on the cover of Good Times Magazine New York as "One to Watch". Active in the New York songwriting scene, Amanda penned the 2009 Songwriter Circle Winner's first single (Juniors), was featured at the first AIMP showcase, and was nominated for 3 Just Plain Folks Music Awards (including Album of the Year!).
