Joan and Andy met about 7 years ago during a songwriter's night at the late lamented Rock 'n Soul Café in Boulder, Colorado. They just celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary and after playing in other groups, finally distilled their diverse styles into a duo.

Joan has written and co-produced four CD's, three for children, and another with singer-songwriter Julia Knearl in the pop-folk duo Choosing June. She has taught music/voice/piano to all ages, and is currently training to provide music for patients in hospice and hospital care.

Andy is an atmospheric scientist at NOAA as well as a singer-songwriter. He has played banjo, mandolin, and dobro in a number of bluegrass bands over the years, and more recently has played dobro with Colorado favorite Kevin Dooley. He plays pretty much any instrument with strings as well as the harmonica and a pretty awesome plastic spoon.
