DDRMR, known for his eclectic, versatile style of music that isn't bound by any type of genre, was born 1989 in Russia as Boriz Safi. He began writing raps and experimenting with music software in Burnaby, Canada during his teenage years as a creative outlet for his habit of daydreaming and fell in love with the process of making music from scratch, from the lyrics to the instrumentals.

Heavily influenced by Linkin Park and Mike Shinoda, Buckethead, Kanye West, and onto later influences such as J-Cole, Hans Zimmer, Odesza and Japanese composer Yuki Kajiura, DDRMR’s own music caught the attention of many locally, in the professional world and online, garnering a following and landing him gigs at various venues throughout Metro Vancouv
