Born in Philadelphia, PA, Yvonne began writing music at the age of 11. Attending Malone College in Canton, OH, she graduated in 2003 with a BA in Commercial Music Technology, studying under George Payne and Mark Townsend (former guitarist for DC Talk & Jennifer Knapp, former producer of Relient K). Then she moved to Nashville, TN, and was a regular at open mic night at the Bluebird Cafe, and was accepted to play a writer's night (by audition only). She then moved back to Philly and worked with producer/engineer Brian Bricklin, recording a full-length album of all original music. In the summer of 2006, Yvonne married Jonathan Bonomo. While most of her music is in the "Contemporary Christian" genre, Yvonne has many crossover pop tunes, reaching people of all ages and in all stages of life. Her goal in writing is to cause people to see themselves for who they really are, so they can see Jesus Christ for who He really is.
Yvonne Bio
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Yvonne began writing music at the age of 11. She grew up performing in church, on the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ, her summer camp, and even a live radio broadcast from Camden, NJ. Attending Malone College in Canton, OH, she graduated in 2003 with a BA in Commercial Music Technology, studying under George Payne and Mark Townsend (former guitarist for DC Talk & Jennifer Knapp, former producer of Relient K). Shortly after graduation, she moved to Nashville, TN, to get to know the music scene there. She was a regular at open mic night at the Bluebird Cafe, and was accepted to play a writer's night (by audition only). Not feeling a huge draw to the area, she moved back to Philly and worked with producer/engineer Brian Bricklin (well-known in the Philly area and beyond), recording a full-length album of all original music. In the summer of 2006, Yvonne married Jonathan Bonomo and moved to Massachusetts where her husband is in school for his Master's degree in Church History. While most of her music is in the "Contemporary Christian" genre, Yvonne has many crossover pop tunes, reaching people of all ages and in all stages of life. Her goal in writing is to cause people to see themselves for who they really are, so they can see Jesus Christ for who He really is.
