Wicked Mystick Muzick is a music production company owned and operated by Cheryl D Love AKA Cheryl d. Love Diaz. As an artist, I identify as Cheryl Love. I have been playing music since I could reach the keys on my grandmother's organ. I started my music career playing lead guitar in progressive speed metal bands. By 2004, I started having health problems that led to the end of my live music career.Thankfully, I ended up at an ASCAP Expo, the 1st thing I saw was the Roland company. They had just released the Roland MV88800 Drum Machine/sampler..pretty much an all in one machine, a predecessor to the Akai MPC X and the MPC One. I also found Reason program, and purchased a Korg Triton keyboard. I just started writing everything that came to my head. I always wrote the songs in the groups I was in, so being able to add all of the different music samples including orchestral sounds, sound effects, etc. really opened the doors for me to a completely different path in my music composition.

wicked mystick muzick's story
i started playing guitar at age 6 by my cousin. i started left handed, then later when i was about 13 i switched to right handed. i started in punk bands, and ended up doing progressive metal. dont get me wrong though, my entire family was in the music business, my uncle george anderson played with the nightblooming jazzmen for 25 albums until he got throat cancer, so i was at every jazz festival from monterey bay to playboy jazz festivals.then, i met my friend kurt james who was playing guitar with such greats as alan holdsworth, al di meola, yngwie malmsteen. i only took 2 real guitar lessons in my life both from kurt. the first was just how to properly strum the strings, and the second was to learn all of the songs on his dr. mastermind album from the 80's. kurt was the one who replaced yngwie in steeler.
so needless to say i became very proficient at both guitar and bass.
it was only due to a healthproblem that stopped my live guitar career which included playing with such greats as korn when they were first starting out as well as too many other big bands to mention. i then was blessed by god , and he alone that i happened upon an ascap festival at the rennaisance hollywood hotel and decided to check it out, the first booth i hit was roland. i purchased a roland mv8800, and learned just enough to produce my first record by myself. it was just my feelings put to music with keys, and synths, guitar and bass, plus the good ol drum machine, and the songs were every style from movie soundtrack type music to dance to i cant even describe them. i put it all up on a myspace page, and within the same day i was being hit up for my "beats" from nyc, to sacramento, ca, to the uk. i deciced to take it to the streets where i could find artists who really needed my beats and to pass the blessing on to these hard working people. thats where i was introduced to wu tang by a great artist as well as a very godly person by the name of general jihad. from there it was on and popping. although, when you work for god , many devils will cross your path and i learned many valuable lessons from this and jihad's guidance. now he has blessed me with kareem lewis aka k-9 who is so far above the clouds he has offered everything to me. never asking for a penny! now thats god and thats my story
