The group Wavelength offers the perceptive listener many different styles and textures from the colorful palette of the jazz genre to enjoy. Their diversity is shaped by the melting pot created out of the various cultural and musical backgrounds which each core member brings to the band. Add to that exciting mix contributing artists who themselves hail from around the world, and you have a unique Wavelength sound that cannot be easily pegged. Wavelength is led by Ferdinand Magallanes - keyboardist, composer, vocalist, and producer. He writes and arranges the music on Wavelength's CDs.
Wavelength core members consists of a group of veteran musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area music scene who have played together separately in the past, but have now collaborated to form Wavelength. We combine Latin, R&B, Jazz, and Contemporary music to give the listener a melodic and dynamic sound.

Wavelength is jazz influenced Latin, R&B. Contemporary and Rock. Comprised of veteran SF Bay Area musicians and contributing artists, this band began in the 1980s as a jazz fusion group, and after the members went their separate ways for over 15 years, reunited in 2002. The reunited band now has a wider range of influences and a lot more experience which makes the resulting music unique. Sold out club performances as well as festivals and fairs engagements are very well received. CD sales at performances as well as sales through online and traditional record store outlets have been very good considering we are an Independent group.Wavelength music has been played/currently played at numerous radio stations as well as Internet stations and music services. Reviews from various sites have been very favorable.
