Born in 1967, Matthew was raised in a musical family in Las Vegas. His father was a Naval band leader/pianist, who also played big shows on the Las Vegas strip. His mother, also into singing from childhood, went on to become the lead singer of a trio that toured the states. Matthew started as a drummer, and eventually wrote his first song at age 11. He spent several years singing and collaborating with other musicians in the Vegas area. In 1990 he moved to Maine, and formed an all original alternative rock band. After 10 years of touring New England, and 5 albums released,he went solo to pursue a career in country/rock songwriting. Matthew continues to write music- finding inspiration in love, fatherhood, and living in the world as it is today.
